Amazing and Interesting facts about Aruba

When I chat with folks planning a Caribbean beach vacation, I seem to hear the usual suspects. The Bahamas, St. Lucia, Jamaica, including the British Virgin Islands are all included. 1. Hurricane belt

The weather is a major draw. Aruba is one of only a few Caribbean islands (together with Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Curacao). Because it is not in a hurricane's path, it is a safe vacation destination all year. The average yearly temperature in Aruba is 82 degrees Fahrenheit. And the Caribbean's least amount of rainfall—an average of roughly 15 inches per year. Even when it does rain (as it did a few times when I was there), the wind means that storms pass and things dry out.

2. You will burn faster.

Aruba is about 20 miles from Venezuela's coast. Furthermore, it is far closer to the equator than the rest of the Caribbean. You'll burn more calories! It will be tough to tell if you are burning due to the wind. So be extra cautious and use more sunscreen than usual. Every two hours. Because you'll get caked in sand and reapplying becomes more difficult.

3. The ethnic composition of the population is extremely diverse.

Aruba is home to people from over 90 nations, and the official language reflects this melting pot. While no one knows for certain, Arubans think that Papiamento evolved from the Portuguese. African blend that was used as communication between slaves and slave dealers. There are also some Dutch and Spanish influences, which is strange considering I keep hearing Italian. Arubans are Dutch nationals, and the country is one of four in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Although the majority of locals are multilingual. And can interact in Dutch, English, and Spanish. You should not assume that a resident speaks English. There are also a lot of Dutch and Canadian ex-pats here. People are quite friendly and accommodating, which I haven't always seen in other Caribbean resorts.

4. Caribbean vacations

Aruba is a pretty safe island; it is not one of those where you would feel unsafe leaving the resort. I had a fantastic time at Rik and Karen's Airbnb! Because it's a small island (about 19 miles by 5 miles), it's easy to plan anything. There are many modes of conveyance available, but renting a car is the most practical. You can also cycle, use the bus, or call a taxi. The Aruban florin is the official currency, but you can use US dollars anyplace on the island (though you'll usually get change in florins).

5. That palapa

One of my favorite Aruba facts is that the island's beautiful white-sand beaches are all national public land. Even if a hotel security officer attempts to persuade you otherwise. They built them on public property. So that anyone can use them (recent court rulings have affirmed this). So hold solid and your ground. Remember that if there are chairs there, you can't use them, so move them out of the way and use your own.

6. Food

Aruba, like many other islands, must import everything. But, unlike other Caribbean islands. I've visited, and there is a strong emphasis on bringing in wonderful food. There are many vegetarian and vegan eateries. And organic vegetable alternatives in supermarkets. They also create their drinking water through a desalination plant, so you can drink it from the tap.
