Hanukkah Atlanta

Book DTW flights to Atlanta this weekend is the menorah lighting event in Decatur Square, which includes dreidels, entertainment, and music. On December 12, The Battery will host a Hanukkah celebration with snacks for the whole family, and from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Virginia Highland will showcase a stunning menorah lighting. On December 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Atlantic Station will host a sizable menorah lighting event.

Callanwolde's Winter House Open

Winter House, located in the Callanwolde Fine Arts Centre, is a free Christmas event that includes live performances, workshops, Santa pictures, Blitzen's Bingo, Christmas Story Time, and an artists' market. Open Thursday to Sunday, the estate, which was originally owned by Charles Howard Candler, has activities including Blitzen's Bingo and Santa pictures.

"Home for the Holidays" is presented by Wren's Nest.

"Home for the Holidays," a period-inspired Christmas experience with guided architecture tours and family-friendly storytelling performances, is being held at The Wren's Nest in the West End. The famous front porch of the museum and its interior chambers will be decked out in décor inspired by the era. Come learn about Victorian-style paper ornaments, eat refreshments, and take a museum tour during the Ornament Workshop and Candlelight Tour on December 9 or 16. The event also includes the novelist Joel Chandler Harris's historic mansion.

Plans for Phipps Plaza Sips at Twilight and Serenades

Twilight Sips & Serenades, Phipps Plaza, hosts the Candlelight Concert series, which showcases local band performances every Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. through December 16. On the Phipps Green, sip cocktails beside a bonfire while taking in performances by musicians such as Lilac Wine, Ruby Velle Duo, and The Jazz Legacy Project.

Zoo Atlanta's IllumiNights Light Up the Night

Chinese Lantern Festival at Zoo Atlanta: a mile-long walk across the park with a variety of lanterns that represent different fauna and imaginative creatures. A marshmallow roast by the fire is another treat available to guests, along with hot cocoa and specialty seasonal spirits.
