Hobbies are activities that we all inculcate ourselves in. It ranges from one person to another. Sometimes, we do it to spend our leisure time or at others, we pursue our passion part-time. If we roundabout the most common hobbies then surely traveling bags a spot in the top 5. And if you are traveling then you can have the opportunity of visiting places on your bucket list. International tourism attracts many every year but before you jot down the places to visit, be sure to take a rain check on the places because not every place invites tourists.

Stok Kangri, India

The home to snow leopards, Hemis National Park situated in Ladakh is also famous for having the highest plateau range in India. The peak of the stock range of the Himalayas is situated in the Hemis National Park. But the sad news for trekkers is that the Stok kangri trek is banned till 2022. The reason is very obvious, Over tourism, and this posed as a threat especially for locals. As Stok kangri temperature is very low the limited supply of water and increasing pollution was becoming problematic for locals. As Glaciers are the only source of water, the imbalance created between usage and consumption by the trekkers and locals caused havoc.

Another cause of concern was the poor maintenance by travelers leading to increased deaths. The weight of mankind’s greed is much heavier than the unconditional blessings of mother nature. So, to restore the conditions that once existed in Stok kangri, the All Ladakh Tour Operators Association declared that there will be no treks from 2020–2023. So, the restriction imposed is only for a few years, hope the place recovers its glory soon.

Area 51, U.S

A subject for alien conspiracies theories, Area 51, is a secret US military base located in the rugged deserts of Nevada. Due to the various aircraft training and testing missions, the place became popular as the sightings of UFOs. As far as the name goes, why only area 51 and not 52 or 53? Well, this is because the name is based on its geographical location. The place is highly secured and only the top trusted government officials are allowed to enter inside. Area 51 game and many movies also emphasize the same alien theories and if you are really eager to know more then visit it on google earth. Because otherwise access to this place is denied completely.

North Sentinel Island, India

An island inhabited by people who refuses any type of contact with the outside world. It is one of the Andaman Islands. Travel to this place is restricted due to the danger associated with it. The government of India has totally banned any visit to this island. Even the fisherman are prohibited to fish around this island. North Sentinelese people inhabit this place from around 50,000 years ago. The first contact with the people of this island was made in 1970.

Another forbidden island is Snake island in Brazil as the name itself suggests, the place is filled with some of the deadliest serpents. This makes it a very dangerous place to visit and hence entry to this place is forbidden.

A place that holds, more than 9,30,000 varieties of food crops surely requires a safety level which general public can not surpass. Apart from being home to the largest agricultural diversity on this planet, this place holds vital importance regarding the future of mankind. In case of a global catastrophe, the place situated in Norway holds securely the samples of seeds taken from India, Pakistan, and Mexico. Although it is not open for visitors but with a guide and an organized trip you can visit the entrance.
