Last time I spoke about 5 Best Travel Photography Tips. Of course, there are many more tips that can be given. Let's take a look at 5 more of them.

1. Plan Your Photos Beforehand

When going somewhere, think about your travel photos before. Here, I knew I wanted to capture Rebeca in the immensity of the mountains.

Before going on your next trip, learn about the place where you go, check shots of other people that are or were there, to know what you can expect.

For example, Instagram is a great source of inspiration. Check hashtags or location of the place you are heading to.

Like this, you can plan your photos and occurring situations will not surprise you. Being prepared in all moments is very important. You will not loose time thinking about what and how to capture.

2. Include People in Your Travel Photography.

Including a person can give your travel photo a sense of scale and bit of life.

I will be honest with you. I used not to like including people in my pictures, but there is very good reason why people do it.

Having people in them, gives a sense of scale. For example, in mountain photography, you have something to compare the height of the mountain to, as seen on one of the pictures above.

People can also give color and life to your photos, as well as emotion. If you are shy to ask strangers in different countries, if you can take photo of them, include your friends or someone you meet during your travels.

The best practice is to talk with them, so they become relaxed. Then, when they act naturally, take your pictures.

3. Don't Cut Important Parts

On the right, I've cut important parts as the elbow and the top of Eiffel Tower. On the left side, correct composition with both elbows and entire tower.

This one needs a lot of practice and thinking while framing your shot. I've seen too many photos, where people cut foot, leg, arm of a person, a top of the mountain, last branch of tree, etc.

When taking picture, don't only focus on the main object, but think about all the components you are including. After time, you will be framing like a pro without even trying.

4. Practice, Practice and More Practice

Me practicing as much as possible, taking shots from every angle.

This one is definitely a no-brainer, because practice makes a master. Without practice, there will be no results, so take your camera or phone with you and just take pictures.

It doesn't need to be only travel photography. Every kind of photography counts. Taking everyday shots will help you also with knowing your device better, making you overall better photographer.

5. Be Yourself and Enjoy What You Do

Rebeca enjoying our trip to High Tatras in Slovakia. If you enjoy your time, it reflects in your photos.

The most important of all, you need to be yourself. When you are starting of, it's normal that you want to try to copy successful photographers, but you shouldn't focus on that. You can definitely get inspired by them, but try to find your way.

Take photos that YOU like, how you like, because photography is such a subjective thing. I've seen many photos that seemed completely beautiful to me, but others didn't like them and vice versa. That's why, it's especially you, who needs to be happy with your captures.

Enjoy your time while taking pictures, because when you do, it reflects in your work. Everything goes better with a smile on your face.

Hope these simple tips will help you on your way to improve your travel photography and reach the results you want.
