Over the years, OMEGA has produced a number of iconic watches, including perhaps the world's most famous chronograph, known worldwide as the OMEGA Moonwatch. This is 5 affordable models for both new and experienced collectors.

1. Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional

Omega’s Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional offers quite a bit for the price.

Launched in 1957, the Speedmaster is synonymous with spaceflight and adventure. Like maximum first-rate icons, the layout has modified little throughout the decades, that means that today, the Moonwatch is identified the arena over. Last up to date on the begin of 2021, the flagship Speedmaster functions a special black dial protected through both a hesalite or sapphire crystal with trademark skinny hour and minute hands, a small seconds subdial, 30-minute and 12-hour recorders, and a function primary chronograph seconds hand. The black bezel, with its tachymeter scale, is established on a 42-mm stainless-steel case this is water-proof against 50 meters.

At the coronary heart of this chronograph is Omega`s mechanical quality 3861, basically an up to date, Master Chronometer licensed model of the famed quality 1861. Though this hand-wound motion has been upgraded numerous instances over the years, it stays basically similar to the only that powered the timepieces that followed NASA astronauts on six journeys to the moon.

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional is to be had on both a strap or a bracelet, and is priced beginning from $5,950, making it a excellent price amongst new chronographs.

2. Omega Constellation Co-Axial

The Constellation offers Omega’s proprietary Co-Axial movement.

Omega launched the Constellations family in 1952, but the collection was originally known as the Globemaster in the United States due to a trademark dispute settled in 1956. The dome of the

Geneva Observatory served as a family crest when Omega broke the exact timekeeping record there just the previous year. There are eight stars around the dome, representing Omega's greatest chronometry achievements at the world's observatories, including the 1931 "cleanliness" at the Geneva Observatory.

In 1982, Omega launched the constellation "Manhattan". This watch introduced the four "handles" or claws we know today at 3 and 9 o'clock. This originally helped keep the sapphire crystal in place and keep the watch water resistant.

In 2007, Omega introduced its own coaxial caliber. It features a new and unique escapement with low friction, high mechanical efficiency and excellent chronometry performance over time. The performance of the new escapement is such that each Omega timepiece fitted with a CoAxial caliber is a COSCcertified chronometer delivered with a full fouryear warranty, which is one of the best in the business for a mechanical timepiece. The exclusive movement is housed in a 38 mm case with a sapphire caseback and 100meter water resistance.

The Constellation CoAxial is available in many sizes and variations, but is typically priced starting at $4,400.

3. Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master Co-Axial

The Seamaster Aqua Terra is a rugged watch with a clean and distinctive line. The dial of the Aqua Terra 150 M collection is reminiscent of the beautiful wooden decks of the finest luxury sailing vessels. The above example, released in 2021, features a lacquered silver dial decorated with a teak concept pattern and is best recognized for the running second subdial, which was first introduced this year. The

41mm stainless steel case is equipped with the best features. The OMEGA Master Coaxial Caliber 8916 COSC Certified Chronometer Movement, specially manufactured to withstand magnetic fields in excess of 15,000 gauss. Unlike most anti-magnetic watches, Aqua Terra's movements can be seen through a transparent caseback.

Some brands offer mechanical watches that protect the movement with a magnetically resistant inner case. Omega has improved this design by creating key movement components from non-ferrous materials and making the movement itself unaffected by magnetic fields. This feature is especially important today when we encounter magnets more than ever, from smartphone and tablet cases to briefcase latches and refrigerator doors. The

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Master Coexial starts at $ 5,590.

4. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600 M Master Chronometer

Strong contrasts on the Planet Ocean’s dial mean the time is easy to read.

Omega is well known for at least underwater and space performance, and in fact the brand was a pioneer in both. In 1932, Omega launched Marine. It is accepted by many as the first watch designed from scratch (or surface down) for deep diving. Since their early days, OMEGA watches have accompanied many explorers on deep journeys. Marine biologist and explorer William Beebe wore an omega marine in a record-breaking bathysphere dive, as did Scuba's inventor, Commander Yvre Puriwool. Jacques Cousteau is known for wearing the Omega Seamaster PloProf, and Jacques Mayol, a well-known freediver known as the Dolphin Man, also wore the Omega Seamaster for record-breaking dives.

In 2005, Omega expanded its maritime heritage with the launch of the Planet Ocean Line. The stylish Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M pays homage to the tradition of OMEGA divers' watches. This model features a black ceramic one-way rotating diver's bezel mounted in a 43.5 mm stainless steel case that is 600 meters or 2,000 feet waterproof. The helium escape valve is a feature of true professional diving equipment. Inside the

case, but visible from the back of the sapphire crystal, it defeats the OMEGA coaxial caliber 8900 self-winding watch, a COSC-certified chronometer movement. The free-floating balance wheel and double barrel contribute to the accuracy of chronometry and distinguish this caliber from that of many other divers' watches.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M Master Chronometer starts at $ 8,100.

5. Omega De Ville Prestige

The Omega De Ville is available in a variety of metals and dial colors.

Even stubborn adventurers sometimes need to wear a dress watch, and Omega again offers an old-fashioned selection. The De Ville Prestige collection features a pure and classic style and a luxurious look that never goes out of date. The model shown above features a 39.5 mm stainless steel case with a unique blue sunburst 2-zone dial protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The case provides a water resistance of 30 meters.

The heart of this watch is the self-winding coaxial caliber 2500. The movement debuted the Co-Axial escapement on the world stage in 1999, bringing a caliber that sustains its historic significance. This Omega Devil Prestige in

stainless steel costs $ 3,750.
