Why Illegal Immigrants Should Not Be Illegal

While many people are avid believers that illegal immigrants should remain illegal, a whopping 72 percent of Americans believe that all immigrants should be able to stay following proper documentation. Many people seem to think that when fellow Americans support illegal immigrants, it is some type of betrayal against America. Not true.

Many people also make the argument that illegal immigrants are stealing jobs and collecting government assistance which is also false. Most illegal immigrants work for dirt cheap. The legitimacy of the collection of government assistance is also very false. Being illegal it would be next to impossible for them to collect any type of assistance due to the fact they would have to present proof that they are in fact citizens of the United States. Social security numbers are requested for any qualifications that would lead to assistance of any form. It's just simply impossible for them to do.

Most of these people want better lives for their families. Just because Trump claims that Mexicans are rapists and thugs, doesn't mean it's true. There are rapists, thugs, criminally active individuals that walk the streets of America, that were born here.

Children are being ripped from their families and held basically captive by our people. Many of these children were sent to court with no lawyer or family to help them through the process. These harsh acts against humans, in general, should be shunned.

When coming from another country you are either illegal or forced to get a green card. People coming in are given tests in order to stay. These tests that they take a vast majority of our own people would not be able to pass. Therefore are we even legal?

Many people against illegal immigrants are racist in nature. There have been so many rallies against the welcoming arms of these people. Many people believe that what Trump said was true. It's not. You simply can't say that each person in an individual race is a rapist. You just can't. It's ridiculous that some people think that.

Honestly, the current immigration policies are hugely discriminatory. If we want to talk about truth, we ourselves are basically immigrants. The only people who aren't are Native Americans. If you forgot, the white man did steal their land. Withholding a means of access from standard, decent people based solely on the fact that they have been birthed in a different location is incredibly prejudiced.

Immigrants should be able to make their own path in America. America is supposed to be the greatest places on Earth. We are supposed to have the option to build our lives as high as we possibly can.

If you think about it America itself is a continent. The United States is merely a country that inhabits the land. MEXICO is part of North America. Technically, Mexicans are Americans! Which is why we shouldn't shun them. You shouldn't shun people at all. But given the history of slavery in all races, torture, and bigotry, maybe America isn't doing it's best.

As far as the eye can see the United States has never done its best. We still to this day have mass shootings, overpriced health care “coverage”, hush-hush talk about sexual assault. Activism is the only way people can get their point across, you can't disagree without it being an issue or getting called a snowflake, racism is alive and well, our president can make sexual remarks that give off rapey vibes and still be president, and so much more. We just aren't doing so hot as United States Citizens. We are doing so poorly.

So, in all, we are already failing as a society. One thing is for certain, though, not all of us are bad, so not all of the people coming in should be viewed as bad either.

In no way should these people come in without some type of documentation. They all should be registered citizens of the United States and just as easy to track down as we all are. My only hope is that one day they stop the bogus tests, green cards, and just document immigrants existence and let them live their lives. They are people. We all are people. Let's start acting like it.
