Why even have Jan 6th Comittee Investigations? What Good is it?

The pros and cons of a good butter game.

The ULTIMATE question, and a question of itself... WHY?

The most basic question in all of this mumbo jumbo is, why? Why have an investigation into possible wrong-doing by elected officials, if nothing is going to be done about it? Why ask why? Why even care?

WHY?

Many asked "WHY?" way back during the Investigation headed by US Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Trump called it a democratic witch hunt from the very beginning, but what most don't know, even to this day, was he tried to fire Mueller. The white house basically told Trump, if he did, he would be doing the same thing Nixon tried to do, that got his in hot water, and there would be no saving his presidency then. Trump backed off, but then found alternate ways to minimize the damage. The pattern of heading off an out of control freight train, many many freight trains to come, began there. Before the details of the investigation could be made public, the Trump appointed Attorney General, William Barr, released an official statement. You can find it here; https://www.justice.gov/opa/speech/attorney-general-william-p-barr-delivers-remarks-release-report-investigation-russian

WGAF?

People knew then, what was going to follow, would be the shit-show of the century. Robert Mueller knew it too. Basically, he began to ask the exact same question! WHY? Why would the Attorney General, allow so much time and effort and man-power be wasted on such an in depth and intricate investigation, only to release his own dumbed down version ahead of the official report? Well, some suspect this was done to "dilute the poison" to a strength that would be much easier for the American Public to swallow. Reassure the public with sweet water that killed the truth just enough to keep the masses at bay, prevent an outright revolt against the american institution, and keep those in power, still at play. Was William Barr, acting with his own best interests in mind? Afraid of being fired by President Donald J. Trump? Or was he afraid of the damage the revelations would do, if not tempered by his own quick and premature release of his own modified version and summary of what he thought the United States public deserved to know?

PREEMPTIVE DEFENSIVE STRIKE?

US Special Counsel Robert Mueller saw the damage that William Barr was doing to his investigation results. The confusion, the disinformation that was rising from it. He immediately wrote a letter to Attorney General William Barr, requesting specific portions of his report be made public to eliminate the confusion already rifling through the American Public, but we know William Barr didn't do as Robert Mueller had requested. Instead, he waited, and then, when thought the time was right, he released a heavily redacted version - a.k.a "blacked-out" for lack of better words. While this seemed like a certain level of allowance on William Barr's behalf, it was a strategic move. Whether designed to underscore the investigation results, or undermine it entirely, we don;t know, but the American Public had almost had enough, and the question grew even more loud. WHY?

THE BUTTER GAME

My mother once told me a quote about a person she knew; "Always crying she has no butter with two loaves of bread under her arms." As I grew older, I realized that meant, a person who constantly complained they didn't have enough, when they always had more than most everyone else around them. It wasn't a sleight against the rich, or those who made a respectable living. It was a word to avoid con-men, and con-women, those would would seek to take from you, the little bit that you have, because they would never admit they had more than what they deserved. They would never admit to being treated fairly, loosing an honest game, or to being not good enough. To them, everything was a conspiracy, everyone was out to get them, unless of course, you were handing over the butter any time it was asked for. And if you ever refused to give up the butter... you better watch out.

BEATING BACK THE BUTTER DENIERS

What do you do when the facts are presented? Well, most of us simply nod, smile, take our licks and learn a lesson or two about ourselves, life in general, and then we move on. We adapt, we cope, we carry the fuck on. I think there's a song about that. For others, there can be no closure. There can be no finality because they can never admit defeat. We're not talking about the famous quote by Commander Taggart, "Never give up! Never Surrender!" when facing insurmountable odds against a hostile alien race. We're talking about American people, vs other American people... When one political party, declares the other political party "enemies of the state".

OBAMA DID IT FIRST!

Some say President Obama sowed the divide in America. How exactly? Well, apparently Senators Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and a FOX News host by the name of Jeanine Pirro had some nasty tweets and comments against President Obama, accusing his of sowing the divide in America, when he outed specific groups as "Anti-women" or inherently racist. Here is Marco Rubio's tweet; Pres. Obama is right. It is wrong for a President to use divisive language, such as: 1. Call all opponents of same-sex marriage bigots. 2. Call the Pro-Life movement a "War on Women". 3. Call all immigration enforcement advocates racists. 4. Call the GOP the enemy of Hispanics.

NU-UH!

Now... that does seem like strong words for a sitting president... but... this was brought up after President Obama spoke up, and out, about President Trump, sowing the divide between Americans. How exactly? Well, it's quite lengthly so I'll post a link to the article which is quite literally a transcript of his speech. In his speech, he specifically told how the Trump administration was cozying up the head of the KGB, working to undermine the affordable care act, and seeking to do real damage to the way of life for a majority of Americans which were just coming out of an economic catastrophe, (The housing Bubble Collapse) which President Obama worked hard to reverse. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2018/09/07/president-barack-obamas-speech-transcript-slamming-trump/1225554002/ lengthly so I'll post a link to the article which is quite literally a transcript of his speech. SOWING THE CROPS FOR FAILURE

Again, the question was asked about President Trump's first Impeachment. WHY? Why do we even try? That's a good question, when you're tired of getting the same god damned answer, every single time. What good is a question being asked, when the person asking it, knows they're not going to get an answer? What good is an investigation, if the only thing that's going to happen, is a gigantic waste of time, money, and resources? What do they expect us to do? Uncover the facts for ourselves? Stay ignorant? Bow down to the almighty and take it? Who are we talking about? What are we talking about? No... a better question is, WHY?

YOU CAN TEACH STUPID!

Largely people already know what they need to know. They're fine with not knowing anything else. but what happens when they suddenly stumble upon something they didn't know? Or what happens when they get told something by someone who was lying to them, and then later on, they find out the truth... or what they think is the truth?

Again, the question, why? Why do we even care? When President Trump's second impeachment came around, it was as if the entire nation had just given up. EVERYONE was like, "yup, he did it, but they're not going to do shit about it, so why even watch the hearings?" WHY INDEED.

NO CONSEQUENCES

Parents HATE to find out their children have been bad. Spouses HATE to find out their partners have been unfaithful. People who put their faith, trust, and pixie dust, in those closest to them, don't want to find out their faith, or their trust, has all been for naught. Some take this ideology to the extreme, even denying that cold hard truth, when it is presented to them.

Some people, honestly, DO NOT WANT TO KNOW. And you telling them, is just going to make them MAD. If they find out the truth, they will do their best to ignore it. If it's pushed in their face, they might even get defensive, claim you're attacking them when you're just trying to make sure that they understand that what you're telling them, is the truth... But the thing is, living a long time, and finding out that everyone lies to you, over and over and over again, WITHOUT CONSEQUENCE, leave a very bitter taste in one's mouth. And it begs to ask the question; WHY?

January 6th, 2021

People lost their lives during the January 6th Attempted Coup of our Nation's Capital. During the insurrection, those people gathered, took matters into their own hands, and using the little information they were given, decided that they had to do, what they did. I don't think a single person has claimed they were forced to do anything. Many of them now say they feel duped, misled, lied to...

HONOR, COURAGE, COMMITMENT

It's not that far of a stretch to imagine that people, who have a specific mindset about one thing, would not have the same exact mindset about another! Someone, being constantly lied to, but yet being told, every other word, that what they are being told, is the GOD'S HONEST TRUTH... will follow that liar to hell and back. For those patriots who would follow the orders of the President of The United States of America, into WAR, they are called Active Duty Military, and they are well respected and honored. But for the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who have been discharged from military service... they still feel a sense of pride, duty, honor, and commitment. While they may not have received direct orders from their commanding officer, it was not because those orders were not given! It was because they were not "active duty" and they did not receive their orders, through their chain of command.

ACCOUNTABILITY OF LIARS

Even now with the Jan 6th committee's findings, people are largely wondering, what good will any of this do? Liars are going to lie. Cheaters are going to cheat. Weasels are going to wease, or go on tour. Whatever. But I'm talking about a completely different weasel.

DOH! or THE DUKES OF HAZARD?

Do we punish people for their thoughts in this country? NO! Nobody can know what you are thinking, unless YOU TELL THEM. Can you be punished for the things you say? Yes, you betcha! Threats and being caught on tape confessing to crimes, or plans of crimes, have gotten lots of people punished. But there is a large group of people who don't believe this should be true. They say, "well he didn't mean it. He wasn't gonna do nobody no harm! He was just a good ole boy!" Well, this ain't the Dukes of Hazard, but if you watched that as a kid, and then you watched some of the riot footage on T.V. you'd think the General Lee just did a jump over the barricades and one of the Duke boy's just shot one of those flaming dynamite arrows into the prominade.

IT WAS JUST TALK...

Some people think a person shouldn't be punished for talking about committing crimes, planning out crimes, or threatening other people with criminal action. On the flip side, one could say bank robbers who don't actually shoot anyone, or get away with any money, shouldn't be punished because they didn't actually steal anything, right? Nobody was hurt. No harm, no foul! If they didn't accomplish a "successful" crime, then is it a crime at all? Yeah. Yeah it is. Sad thing is, some people still think this way. Reality is, crime is crime. It's the same thing as the actual crime, just with the word "attempted" put in front of it. You might be familiar with the terms; Attempted Rape, Attempted Murder, Attempted Burglary, Attempted Sedition, Attempted Coup... whatever the crime is.

PROVE IT!

Another big problem is, Lack of Evidence. Too many times we hear about there being a lack of evidence, and some of our politicians have gone to using that childhood catchphrase we all used to know and love; "There's no proof of that, so that's a lie." Actually, they also say "Untrue!" or "Witch hunt!" or "It's all a hoax!" or "Lies!, Lies!" or "Fake News!" Ugh. Well, no... we as children, we didn't say it quite so eloquently. It was more like "Nu-uh!" But we, even as children, we knew more about right and wrong than this generation seems to.

LIAR LIAR!

As children, we knew a few facts about lying. We had to make split second critical choices when it came to what was going to come out of our mouths. Some of us learned quick, and others, not so much. I, unfortunately, was a repeat offender, but I knew the facts as well as any kid. Number one, when you lie, you're going to get an "ass-whooping" when your parents find out. Number two, parents ALWAYS find out. Number three, the more you lie, the worse the punishment. Number four, if you ever accused someone else of lying, and it turned out that you were the one lying, oh dear lord help you. That was the end of it. Ralphie might have gotten away with it when he blamed the mother of all curse words on Schwartz, but... that was fiction. And while Schwartz got what was coming to him, according to Ralphie, his mother knew. That's why she put the bar of soap back in his mouth, even after he sold out his buddy.

THE PIED PIPELIAR

Now, what happens when someone like the President of the United States of America gets up on national TV, and does something illegal... whatever it may be... we'll just say... telling a lie. OH! WOOPS! SORRY! I forgot to mentions something! WHEW! Almost let that one go by! Forgot to mention this, in direct opposition of all that was holy and all that trouble we got into as kids for lying... when you become an adult, LYING IS NOT ILLEGAL Nope. Not a bit. Not really. Politicians lie their asses off all day long. They get on National Television and say "NO NEW TAXES!" and "We're going to keep affordable healthcare!" and "I did not have sex with that woman!" and "I don't even know who she is! This, uh... Stormy Daniels..."

Sick, sick, sick. One of the worst things, the sickest shit in this, the greatest country on earth, is that LIARS are free to lie. Unless you are under arrest, under oath, or held to a higher standard by position or duty, lying is not illegal. And even then, there are ways around it. Pleading the 5th (Amendment), Saying you forgot, the details aren't clear, you can't remember, you're confused, are all acceptable ways to get around speaking the truth in a court of law, or when under oath or arrest.

CAREER POLITICIANS - WHY?

When a politician gets up on a podium and lies his ass off for two hours straight, there is no law, no office, no authority, no sheriff or deputy, that will go up there and arrest them. And that's what politicians do, in a sense. LIE as convincingly as they can, to get your vote, or to get you on their side. Some of them may or may not include the truth. Some may include more, or less, truth. Some may seek to twist the truth as much as possible without giving it away that they're totally lying. Some just totally disregard the truth, opting for something much more palatable to whoever they think is the larger braoder audience.

FACTS RULED THE DAY - WAY BACK WHEN - WHY?

The facts are the facts. Some people say, since President Trump took office, "alternate facts" have taken over. Alternate facts, more commonly known as "lies", are sometimes much easier to accept because they are specifically engineered to reach the most people, and instill some sense of believability.

Here is an example. FACT. Vanilla is better than Chocolate. Why? Well, for starters, most chocolate has vanilla in it. Secondly, vanilla is a universal flavoring, a base for most other flavors, and works better in most situations. Other than some weird fruit combos, chocolate is usually paired with something sour or tart. Chocolate orange is okay, but orange creamsicle is much better. Chocolate ice cream with strawberries on top is not nearly as universally liked as strawberries and cream a.k.a. vanilla ice cream. And so I've made my point because Vanilla is NOT better than chocolate. Nope. Nuh-uh. I never said or wrote it was. I just put the word FACT, before a statement I made, which I was not under oath or arrest and therefore.... you get the point? And while this may simply be a matter of personal preference, whether someone committed a crime, or did something wrong, SHOULD NOT BE A QUESTION.

A FIST FULL OF TEETH - WHY?

LAWS are LAWS. EVIDENCE is EVIDENCE. But so much lately, Facts, Laws, and Evidence are being dismissed for insinuation, denial, and claims of anything to the contrary. Back in the day, it was a common occurrence for a man to walk up to another man who was lying and punch him square in the mouth. LIARS got a fist in their teeth. Liars who continued to lie, either had to beef up, or they learned to stop spouting lies so much. As times progressed, the threat of physical violence for lying has gone down quite a bit. But now we see the result for letting lies run rampant, wild and unchecked.

PIZZA GATE - WHY?

Does anyone believe that Hillary Clinton was running a human trafficking operation out of a pizza joint? Well... some people did! Was it true? Of course not. But that didn't stop the massively popular "pizza gate" situation from spiraling out of control. If you wanna read the FACTS about that whole shebang, here's a link to an article by Rolling Stone! https://www.rollingstone.com/feature/anatomy-of-a-fake-news-scandal-125877/

HERE'S WHY! THIS GUY! AND THAT GUY! AND THE NEXT GUY! NO MORE WHY!

So, the question remains. WHY? And here, might be the best answer I can give you. A true master of the Butter Game, Alex Jones, got what he was due. He wasn't punished for pushing pizza gate and exacerbating the lies and rhetoric against Hillary Clinton. He wasn't punished for trying to be President Trumps overweight talking political puppet look-alike-contest-winner. He was punished because he LIED.

Oh, I know, the irony is almost too sweet. In a land where Lying is legal, someone who lies for a living, got punished for lying!!!??? Say it ain't so! But no! It is so! Alex Jones claimed, and continued to claim, and probably still does to this day, that the mass shooting that happened at Sandy Hook Elementary, was a lie. He actually called it a bunch of things, but basically he said it was all staged, and that people were actors and all this other bullshit. It doesn't matter what I think of him, or whether I think he was right or wrong - but Jesus Alex Jones was a dumbass for continuing to spread all that FAKE - FALSE - UNTRUE - LIES and DISINFORMATION. In my opinion, he got what he deserved.

Now, as the January 6th committee continues down the road, and continues to present the information they've accumulated, I can only hope that others that continue to spread FAKE, FALSE, UNTRUE, LIES and DISINFORMATION, find themselves with their own definitive answer to the ages old question, WHY?
