What If We Take to the Streets for the Security of the Afghan People?

We Shouldn't Just Watch the Fall of the Afghan People

These are human beings who need the world's utmost attention in this time of chaos.

"I am an African, I live in south-central Africa, if I were president at this time, my biggest focus would be to move my air force to take every Afghan citizen who wants to leave the country."

What is happening in Afghanistan are scenes that perhaps we would only see in plays of fiction. It is heart-wrenching to see those people trying to leave the country in terror, looking for seats on moving flights and taking off hanging on the wings, and finally falling from the top to the bottom. It is too much pain to find words to describe what the Afghan people are going through at this moment, and what their hearts are feeling with every beat.

I am trying to find something to make sense of this story and draw the attention of those who are simply not caring about the scenes. Whoever is reading this, please, if you have any faith, intercede for the people in Afghanistan. It hurts to know that an entire nation has been handed over to the "slaughterhouse."

The name of the government alone is reason enough for it not to be a government that governs a certain series of the population in the middle of the 21st century.

"Taliban vow to protect country and honor women." I read this in a newspaper.

Taliban means "Who or who is a member of an Afghan military Islamist group that aims to apply the laws of the Quran in all aspects of society." A law that was in effect in Afghanistan in the periods from 1996 to 2001. If one looks at these statistics, even a layman could understand that one does not trust the words of a murderous maniacal terrorist.

Both the world and the Afghan people know that they have taken power to avenge the 20 years lost with their radical and extremist laws. And China and Russia have once again shown that they are not a government to be trusted on the planet by showing their support for a group whose significance there is no point in naming here.

My heart aches as I write this story, just knowing that we can't do anything because we have no way to do it.

We would have made that moment the turning point for real change. Just as millions of people around the world took to the streets and raised their voices in response to the murder of George Floyd and the ongoing problem of unequal justice in the United States; the world should take to the streets to raise its voice for the safety of the Afghan people.

"I don't believe the promises of the Taliban, and I know that at least two or three billion people in the world don't believe the false promises of these executioners either."

The Taliban were removed from power 20 years ago, and although they have returned lightning-fast and without any contesting violence to seize power, I doubt they won't mess with the neediest population. There may even be some flexibility for some time, but the country is huge and there will always be a group of people suffering the mutilations, the violations both sexual, corporal, and psychological.

It is always important that evil is nipped in the bud, and not waiting to give it a chance to see how far they can get. For use in the West, we only know that Afghanistan is a violent country because of its opponents; and after that, it's okay. But if the people who know their people are alarmed to the point of climbing into, airplanes in full motion preferring to die than to stay in their land; we don't need any more arguments for us to do anything to save the Afghan people.

Save the Afghan people, God help Afghanistan, and may our thoughts here in the West that is wrong and that just as they passively took power, may they rule without extremism and dictatorship.
