Western Civilization Is The Greatest Fraud The World Has Ever Seen

Every generation has its coming of age event. For those who grew up in the 1980s, the smashing of the Berlin wall, will have been one of those moments when a critical mass of people seized the initiative and found the courage to tear down the wall that symbolized the great ideological divide between communist east and the capitalist west.

In the digital, post colonial and Covid era, the seminal event for millions of young people in the English speaking world, will have been the chaotic scenes surrounding the evacuation of allied troops from Afghanistan.

Just like their forebears, who were raised on Rambo, crocodile Dundee and James Bond in the during the cold war era, the scenes of defeated and vanquished white troops withdrawing from Vietnam stood in stark contrast to the bullshit they were used to seeing in Chuck Norris and Oliver Stone films.

For today's generation, the chasm between rhetoric and reality couldn't be more striking; notions of American exceptionalism ringing hollow in the face of Afghan battle worn ruggedness and vast years of experience of warfare.

The Historical Underpinnings

For those who don't know too much about history, this also was the same story with the British empire, a century ago. Back when notions of British exceptionalism was actively promoted. The likes of Rudyard Kipling wrote poetry to develop the myth of an empire on which the sun will never set.

A prime example is the white man's burden, reproduced below, via Wikipedia.

 Send forth the best ye breed - 

Go bind your sons to exile

 To serve your captives' need;

To wait in heavy harness

 On fluttered folk and wild - 

Your new-caught, sullen peoples,

 Half devil and half child.

I have chosen to use this extensive poetry from Kipling because western civilization has always been about whiteness. The elevation of white folks above everyone else has been its raison d'etre. It has always been about the "superiority" of Europeans above the African, Asian, Arab and Latin peoples.

Central to the success of this strategy or propaganda has been the carefully constructed narrative that has always sought to present the oriental, the other as being primitive, savage, brutish and in need of " white guidance and tutelage".

This warped thinking of " Asian, Arab and African atavism" has informed centuries of European misdeeds and atrocities around the globe.

It was why the Brits flooded China with Opium and when the Chinese authorities dared to fight back, the Brits reacted violently, bombing the ports to submission, which led to Hong Kong being under British control for 150 years.

It was the guiding principle behind Britain's entry to the business of slave trading, which saw the trafficking of several millions of Africans to the new world as well as the extermination of the native populations throughout the West Indies.

It was the reason for William Gladstone's government going to Egypt and remaining there for well over seventy years.

This "thinking" was why the Native Americans were forcibly removed from their lands and several Indian tribes were exterminated. For those who need literature explaining in clear, broad detail the atrocities of Britain, please read, " A people's history of the United States" by the late great Howard Zinn.

And we can't forget that this was the reason behind Britain's misadventure in Afghanistan in the 19th century, when Benjamin Disraeli was the British premier.

The American Century and Hollywood's role

In a bid to distinguish itself from its former colonizer - Great Britain - The United States of America presented itself as an anti-imperialist power; Certainly this was the impression that it gave upon its entry to the first world war and this was the thinking that shaped Woodrow Wilson's fourteen points of peace and the subsequent treaty of Versailles, in the aftermath of Germany's defeat and surrender.

But America was only fooling itself.

Its brutal suppression of its Black citizens through lynching and restrictive housing and educational policies told a different story altogether.

But far more importantly, the very medium which would come to define and shape the American century would be used on African Americans first, before being exported globally.

The use of motion pictures as a propaganda tool.

D.W. Griffin's "birth of a nation" was groundbreaking in more ways than one. It served as an excellent propaganda tool which helped retell the story of the American civil war and it also did introduce a number of techniques, which are still in use till this very day.

But the greatest damage done by the film was in the depiction of an entire race of people as being stupid and sexually aggressive towards white women.

As America began to flex its muscles in a world which desperately needed its money post 1945, it simply deployed the best tools that it had available - its military might and Hollywood.

Hollywood's place in helping to perpetuate the lies of western civilization does deserve to be explored in much greater context, for it had helped sell the notion of American exceptionalism better than any elected government in the twentieth century.

It didn't matter that America was tearing itself apart by embarking on a war that it had no business engaging in, when there were more pressing domestic issues which needed to be addressed.

It didn't matter that America's President had been killed like a common thief in broad day light, there was nothing that Tinseltown couldn't put a spin on.

And It certainly didn't matter that America was engaged in overthrowing legitimately elected government throughout the world from Guatemala to Grenada; from Ghana to Zaire and from Vietnam to Italy. All that mattered was spreading "western values".

Watching major Hollywood blockbusters in the 1980s, from "Apocalypse Now to Rambo", you'd be forgiven for thinking that America trounced Vietnam in a way never seen before in human history, that the west were the good guys and anyone who wasn't white had to be the bad guy.

Such was the extraordinary bull shitting power of the latest standard bearer of " western civilization"

And just as it was forced into a humiliating retreat out of Vietnam nearly fifty years ago, the very last troops leaving Kabul, confirm what we have always thought: The west is a morally and intellectually bankrupt enterprise.

Western Civilization has been nothing more than a framework for simultaneously pillaging the resources and demonizing the people of Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

In the last 200 hundred years of recorded history, it is fair to say that the west has never been a force for good. Its history has been about the violent expropriation of assets belonging to others and in extreme cases, wiping out entire populations of people.

Part of the problem is that there are people of colour around the world who have internalized the narrative of oriental inferiority and are prepared to act as mouthpieces of a degenerate west.

The sooner we recognize this, the less surprised we will be when a new enemy is created as the target of "liberal interventionism".

Once it was the Vietcong and the Russians, then it became the Muslims, then it was the Russians again, now the Chinese are on collision course with the world's hegemon.

When Mahatma Gandhi was asked about the Western Civilization, his reply was that " It would be a good idea". There can be no misgivings that he (Gandhi) thought the notion of the west being civil in its dealings with the rest of the world was an illusion, something it could never live up to, even if it tried very hard to.

Western civilization is the greatest fraud the world has ever seen.
