Voter Fraud and Leading by Fear

Is It Real? The consequences of Trump's Leadership Style

People are questioning whether there is real evidence of voter fraud today. I think the notion of voter fraud is a conspiracy theory meant to promote Trump’s irrational claims that voter fraud interfered enough to cost him the election. The way I see it is that Trump held massive rallies telling his supporters not to vote by mail.

Voting by mail is legal in states that allow it. If there is proof to Trump’s claims of voter fraud, then he will have to do more than prove that dead people supposedly voted. He’d have to prove that the votes were counted, and that the votes submitted by dead people were overwhelmingly for Biden. Can he actually get enough evidence for all of his claims to be true?

What I see is a massive push to his Evangelical Christian base to support these claims of his. He uses people who appear to be respected members of the community to promote his own theories. They will go around and find false claims where there seems to be evidence of foul play, but really these claims can’t overwhelming prove anything.

Trump rules by fear. One of the problems is that leading by fear can work. Fear is an extremely effective motivator even if it involves an unpleasant sensation. Fear is a primal instinct and activates our nervous system in such a way that we begin to use our defense mechanisms to avoid exposure to unpleasant things. Those who rule by fear know that others fear loss of job, damage to their reputation, being made to look bad in front of colleagues, and feeling worthless or bad at their job. Trump’s tactics have always been to humiliate others and cause people who do not agree with him to suffer great losses. He got famous from firing people on his TV show, so it’s clear that he used fear to make others fall in line with whatever he says. Because he is a role model, this causes microcosms of communities to develop where they use the same tactics to promote their thoughts. This is most common among Evangelical Christians for some reason that I don’t yet understand.

Trump is using his claims of voter fraud by again ruling by fear. If his supporters promote fear that the democratic system of voting doesn’t work, then he will have people who want to throw the entire election process into question. It seems like he wants to portray a sense of strength when he’s at his most vulnerable state. His supporters will come to his rescue because they want to help what they perceive to be a victim. He forces good men in politics to question their values and often proves that if people around him in the White House do not follow him, then he will fire them. He has fired so many people around him that I’ve lost count. He didn’t like what the World Health Organization had to say about the coronavirus so he “fired” them, too. It was decision that showed another problem with his leadership style, and that is one where he stops teamwork.

By firing so many people, others around him have to shuffle their work to accommodate those changes. It causes ripples of effects that make work difficult for all team members. The people who work for Trump must find it extremely difficult to get any work done other than trying to sort through the disorder he creates. People around him will try to avoid him. People will likely have to go around him and steamroll him in order to get any work done. These concepts are known by those who study leadership tactics.

Most likely what developed under the Trump administration is "workplace gangs." The people will join forces to do their work. They will avoid the proper process if they think it will slow them down, prioritize their own work and agendas, and stop communicating with other teams (because people may question what they’re doing). I doubt that Trump really has any idea of what’s going on in the White House around him. They fear him too much to tell him the truth but those who don’t want to continue to work for him will eventually have to take orders from Biden. These people will feel pressure to have to take sides with one or the other, and this interrupts the process so the government will be unable to move forward with a new administration until Trump agrees to finally allow them to transition to Biden. With pockets of people working their own strategies, I think Trump may lose his power and not even know it happened.

Right now people are afraid to speak up about what happened when they worked for Trump, but when he loses power, more people will feel free to come forward. If Trump loses the support of those around him, then he will not be able to continue to stay in power. If people have been wronged in some way, then they will eventually come forward and tell their stories. I believe we need to be supportive of those who worked for Trump and felt they were stuck. The problem with a fearful team around Trump, is that they will do things that they know will fail because they’re too scared to say anything. Those inside the White House at this time know that this is going to fail if he continues not to allow a peaceful transition of power.

What he has really done is he has killed the confidence in his team members. When people see that Trump constantly belittles, criticizes, and discredits the team members, sometimes those within the team will begin to believe that it’s true. After Trump exiles someone from his team, he goes on an all-out attack to destroy their character. He has tried to belittle Biden for wearing a mask even though a mask has been shown to save lives. Not wearing a mask in Trump’s administration is partly why so many people got sick. Those in the Trump administration got sick while many fewer in the Biden administration did. It seems that Trump’s team does not care if they get the virus because they don’t feel like they’re going to die from it. He promoted the idea of herd immunity without any good enough scientific basis and now hospitals are filling up with patients around the United States. By belittling those who do not get on-board with his insane antics, he manages to stay in power. This style of leadership is harmful to the United States, and if the public has had a chance to say anything about it, it’s that we feel extremely divided.

We all have to take a step back and find the truth for what it really is. There needs to be a way to cut through the lies and games that narcissists play and social media isn’t our friend when it comes to sharing information. There are active campaigns to influence what we believe in through social media. We have to take a critical eye to everything we see and find out if it’s really true. We all need to fight back so that we discontinue this form of leadership as it results in abuses of power that undermine everything we have ever believed in as a representative democracy. We can’t let our leaders rule by fear because this tactic creates disharmony among all of the people of the United States. We saw Trump all out accuse the Democrats for every crisis he encountered in his presidency, and no matter which party you follow, you must know deep down that you deserve to know the truth. We don’t have to live in fear if we refuse to believe lies. We need to find the truth and question everything without making assumptions first. After careful investigation, the truth helps us break free from the power of fear and helps us break free from those who want to overpower us. Resist the urge to believe anything that sounds far-fetched and come back to your senses. You’ll be less scared of what’s in the closet when you just turn the light on.
