Two Sides of the Same Manure

Its about time to focus on the real problem... the two party system.

With the events of the last year or so, America has seemingly been boiled down to just two sides that absolutely hate each other. There is no room to work together or get anything done as long as there is a two party system and our founding fathers knew this when they formed America. Yet what happened to their ideals and hopes for this country? The entire scheme has been reduced to two completely separate sides that get at each others' throats whenever possible over whatever possible. It's no wonder anything can be accomplished in this nation when the only people in power (no matter who is president) don’t actually represent the public. This system has been divided for so long that every single person that was in the middle can only vote for the person they ever so slightly disagree with less.

Let’s start with the Republicans and the party as a whole. The main view is that anyone that is against them is a traitor and un-American. I am sick and tired of all the dramatic bullshit to try and convince people that one side is better than the other. With the Republican Party the first thing anyone thinks of is “Fox News” or “Rush Limbaugh” and their scare tactics or their one sided stories with no rational view of what is really going on in the world. If one was to watch either of those shows, it’s not so farfetched to get carried away with the drama and want to get rid of the opposition entirely without any discussion or argument. There have been plenty of people who only get this one side and think that the one side is the only American way.

Thus the Liberals always say that the Republicans are hate mongering and spreading lies. But how can you justify your stance when your own side is caught rigging votes and all of the other news outlets are caught making up stories just to sensationalize and get ratings. Liberals say that they are only concerned with the truth, but then turn around and call anyone that disagrees with them Nazi’s, Fascists or racist at the drop of a dime. If your only means of communication are to demonize people who disagree with you, how are you ever going to learn… or for that matter learn how to live around other adults, and function in society? Don’t get me wrong, the ideals of the party are great as ideals and everyone should work to better themselves to let society thrive. Even going as far to help your fellow man is more than admirable, but not everyone is of the same mindset. If you don’t look at the situation realistically, how are you ever going to survive around real people in real situations?

As I see it, this simply shows two very drastic versions of politics, and hate has been added to both sides without regard for what it has been doing to the people at large. No matter what way you turn, there seems to be no escape from one side or another trying to pull you in and make you one of their pawns in their political schemes. Yet every person that gets the chance will tell you that if you get away from the screen for a while, and actually get around people, you will see a completely different side of America. Every person has their own beliefs, and for the most part, do not actually fall into either the Liberal or Republican ideals. The sad state of the union is simply that there is no other reasonable option while these senseless people are in power. All that we reasonable people can do is make the attempt to change what we can towards a better future.
