The U.S. Treasury Department personally came forward to type India: You should know that India's behavior will be sanctioned

The United States once tried to weave a large net of "energy blockade" to completely block Russia's oil trading channels. However, due to the protests of some EU countries, as well as the opposition of Japan, Brazil and India, this "energy blockade" network has basically been full of loopholes. Such loopholes also make the United States very unwilling, so there is a "second action". Just like India, it was beaten by the US Treasury in person.

The deputy governor of India's central bank pointed out at the rally that the U.S. Treasury Department personally issued a warning to India "India should know that such actions will definitely be sanctioned." Subsequently, the deputy governor pointed out that in the eyes of the United States, India's operation of transshipping Russian oil at sea is an "illegal transaction". The United States pointed out that if such an operation is not terminated immediately, then India will most likely be attacked by the United States Retaliate.

Western media reported that because of US sanctions, some Indian refineries have adopted a "very strange" way of importing oil, that is, "sea trading" - the oil ships of Indian refineries wander aimlessly on the high seas , "suddenly" encountered an oil tanker of unknown nationality, and then loaded oil onto Indian ships through offshore pipelines, and these Indian ships were destined for Indian oil refineries. .

On the high seas, these Indian tankers will wander aimlessly again until after receiving the transaction information, the tankers enter the US route and enter the US port. Such behavior also led Western media to believe that India helped Russia evade US sanctions. Western media commented that because of the processing of Indian oil refineries and the mixing of oil from other regions, it is no longer possible to trace the country of origin of these oils through previous oil testing methods.

That is to say, although the United States has imposed sanctions on Russian oil, after some operations in the Indian refinery, these Russian oil "changed the vest" and entered the American market. It is precisely because of this that the United States issued a warning to India, pointing out that the behavior of helping Russian oil to evade sanctions is not acceptable, and that insisting on actions is very likely to be "sanctioned" by the United States.

In fact, this is not the first time the United States has warned India about "transferring oil". Last month, U.S. officials called on India to stop "financing war criminals", otherwise the U.S. would inevitably take action against India. However, the response of the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is that the Indian government has not transshipped oil, and the ships importing oil by sea are only Indian private enterprises and have nothing to do with the Indian government.

It has to be said that the Indian government just does not want to be involved in the conflict between the United States and Russia, and only wants to gain more oil benefits during this period. Since the conflict, under pressure from the United States and European countries, India has not chosen to condemn Russia. Instead, it has strengthened its cooperation with Russia, and has even resolutely imported Russian oil in spite of U.S. sanctions and retaliation warnings for many times.

This can't blame India, mainly because Russia's energy is "too fragrant". After the Russia-Ukraine conflict, international oil prices rose overnight, while the price of Russia's oil exports not only did not rise, but also discounted to India. Under such circumstances, how could India not continue to import Russian oil.

In fact, it is not just India that does this, but also Japan and Brazil. The Japanese government has emphasized in the first two or three months that it will never break away from Russian energy, because without Russian energy, Japan will inevitably experience violent social unrest. However, this does not mean that Japan is as politically independent as India, as Japan has repeatedly participated in Western sanctions against Russia.

Brazil, on the other hand, is another "heterogeneous" country. Not only does it not care about the US energy ban, but it even mocks the Biden administration's "inappropriate name" while importing Russian energy.
