The Trump Rumor That's Building Steam
One more rumor, but this one makes sense.
Donald Trump's pending resignation: an interesting rumor growing steam.
It was an unlikely comeback when the great disruptor returned to the White House in January 2025.
On paper, Donald Trump was unlikely to succeed. A win by a convicted felon and accused rapist was unthinkable. But in 2016, dozens, maybe hundreds, of A-listers, political figures, and thought leaders swore it would never happen then.
When Donald Trump threw his hat into the political arena in 2016, the more moderate observers shared one thought. And they weren’t wrong. Perhaps you said:
“This should be fun to watch.”
— Reasonable people everywhere
And it has been. This has been one of the most interesting, if not disturbing, periods of the modern era. Some other things were said. One very popular one to this day that sticks out was:
“At least we’ll get eight years of bad hair jokes.”
— Other reasonable people
Today’s Trump
Today’s Trump is a different beast than he was in 2016. What a difference a decade can make! Ten years is a while.
In the last ten years, we’ve arguably seen twenty to thirty years of turmoil, insanity, skullduggery, and things that brought you to tears. Whether it was because you appreciated the idiocy of it all, or you suffered from that TDS issue.
Between the first term and now, Donald Trump has faced a constant barrage of attacks. Some were worthy, and some weren’t. Yes, it’s believable that he did cheat on Melania and with Stormy Daniels. Thanks to that, we now know he has a weirdly shaped, little package.
Not all the attacks were warranted. From the early days, the whole Russia-Gate thing was faked. We did learn that. Then there was the family separation at the borders during his first term. Democrats took it out on him, even though the camps were opened and buildings were restructured for detention during the Obama years. And they all knew, as they blamed Donald Trump for it, that federal law requires children in detention to be held out of sight or sound of adult detainees.
So if you factor in the deceptiveness and attacks by his opposition, and the things he brought on himself by…well, doing them and then running for public office, at 80, he’s got to be pretty exhausted.
Is Trump Resigning?
If you haven’t heard that one, then you might need to get the old head out of the sand. Even James Carville has weighed in on the idea. But it’s been going around for a while.
And the stage is all set.
The whys should be obvious. Health, exhaustion, retirement, spending time with family, and freedom from the constant persecution by Democrats.
But don’t start jumping for joy just yet. There’s still some time before it’ll play out.
Donald Trump has shown that his ego is huge. You can probably hear his voice talking about how his resignation’s going to be “HUUUGHE” and “Beautiful.”
But he’ll do it in a Trumpian way.
February 2027, if the rumors are correct. If the theorists, analysts, commentators, and haters got it right, it’ll happen then. And it’ll feed into his legacy and his ego.
Trump can feed JD VANCE the job on a silver platter. At the right point, Vance would get to be president for two years, work on his campaign to run for the presidency, and try to win the presidency twice under constitutional law.
Donald Trump makes the right move, and he can be the man responsible for setting up ten years of a Republican Controlled White House.
Then Trump can slink off into the shadows, have meetings with world leaders, party leaders, and shape the future from behind the scenes if he wants to, much the way another former president has been reportedly doing as of late.
And the best part is that since Joe Biden opened the gateway to blanket pardons, Vance can give Trump a pardon and keep Donald from going to prison.
Final Thoughts
If it’s true, and Trump’s looking at an early out from the White House, it wouldn’t be that shocking. He’s not having an easy run of it in this era. And Democrats will never stop trying to persecute him for every little tiny thing. That’s part of how he got back into office. They can’t keep his name out of their day-to-day, and gave him free relevancy and support from the millions who didn’t like their policies and needed an alternate choice.
If it’s not true, it’s just one more political theory. But looking at the man today compared to 2017, he seems to be feeling the ravages of time. To take on the most thankless job, and to be awake that much at his age, is going to speed up the aging process.
Before you jump for joy, remember, it’s not been verified, and these are only analytic theories at this point.
