The Emirates Council for Fatwa: If Eid coincides with a Friday, the two prayers are performed at their times and in accordance with their two yearsInternational Astronomy Center: Friday, April 21, Eid al-Fitr astronomer

The Emirates Council for Legal Fatwa said in its statement: “Since the committee for investigating the crescent of Eid al-Fitr will meet at sunset on Thursday, Ramadan 29 1444 AH, corresponding to April 20, 2023, to investigate the crescent of the month of Shawwal, it is expected that Friday, corresponding to April 21, 2023 will be the day Eid al-Fitr, and scientific studies carried out by accredited astronomical observatories have suggested that, and that the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, based on its tasks and specializations entrusted to it by the wise leadership in the country, and in response to the question of most people about the ruling on Friday prayers if Eid and Friday meet in one day.

And the statement added: “First..we ask God Almighty to bless us for the remainder of the blessed month of Ramadan, and to help us in it to fast, pray, and do good deeds, and to help us to perform the Night of Power in faith and reckoning, and to make us among His accepted servants.”

And he continued: “Secondly, the issue of establishing Friday prayers if it coincides with the day of Eid is a matter of contention among scholars, and what the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa issues is the establishment of each of them at its time and according to its Sunnah, for the following legal evidence:

1. The words of God Almighty: “O you who believe, when we would like to pray from the day of the group, then seek to the remembrance of God, and the one who is the one who is the goodness of God.” It is general in all days, and it is not permissible to single it out except with valid evidence to single out the generality of this definitive text, and the evidence contained in the omission of the Friday prayer for those who prayed the Eid are all presumptive, presumptive, presumptive, presumptive evidence

. Friday, by glorifying the name of your Lord, the Most High, and did the hadith of Al-Ghashiya come to you

? Eid prayer.

3. The Friday prayer is one of the greatest obligations of Islam, and it is the only prayer in which the scholars are unanimously agreed that attending it in congregation is an individual obligation on the person charged with it if he has no excuse that allows him to fail to perform it. And among the legally established rules of jurisprudence is that the imposition is not forfeited if it is of a lower rank in the ruling of the Sharia.

4. What the Emirates Council for Shari’a Fatwa issued is the saying of the majority of scholars, which is well-known in the Malik school of thought, and to which Abu Hanifa and Al-Shafi’i went, and it is a narration on the authority of Ahmed.

5. The legal evidence contained in the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad regarding the permission for those who attended the Eid prayer to pray the noon prayer instead of the Friday prayer, was not absent from what the council chose according to what was done and the evidence favored it, and that all these evidences have been answered by scholars and explained their meaning, and it is possible to refer back In this, we refer to its places in the books of jurisprudence and explanations of the hadith, bearing in mind that whoever takes the other saying of the scholars who saw the concession to leave the Friday prayer for the one who prayed the Eid prayer and prayed the noon prayer instead of it, then there is no sin on him in that, and if he prayed it Friday, taking determination, then it is better; A way out of the dispute and an adherence to the original.

And the council’s statement added: “Third..the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa calls on all Muslims, whose souls have risen, their souls have risen, and they have been provided with piety and faith, to take the holiday as a great opportunity for kinship ties, reconciling relations, achieving peace, and spreading harmony with all people, and the Council also recommends keenness on charity. To the poor and the needy, and to bring joy to orphans, widows and the needy, so that all of our joy is complete with the feast.

And he continued: “Fourth..the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa turns to God Almighty in these virtuous days to return these happy occasions to the UAE leadership and people, the Arab and Muslim societies, and the whole world with goodness, right, and blessing, and stability has been achieved, peace has spread, and prosperity has spread to all nations and peoples, He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.” Source: "WAM"

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar clarifies the legal ruling of seeing the suitor to the fiancée without her knowledge

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar, the Grand Imam, Ahmed Al-Tayyib, explained the legal ruling of seeing the suitor to the fiancée without her knowledge.

During the “Imam al-Tayyib” program, Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayyib said that Islam sponsors the family formation project and the controls for choosing spouses for each other, and the young man must look at the girl he wants to associate with, explaining that the evidence for that is the hadith of the Prophet, when the Prophet Muhammad said to al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah and he got engaged to a girl He said: “Have you looked at her?” He said, “No.”

Al-Tayyib continued that the Prophet Muhammad said: “If one of you proposes to a woman, if he is able to look at what calls him to marry her, then let him do so.” It is not awrah, and it is the complex of virtues, and the subject of looking, but it is not permissible for him to look at what is not usually visible.

The Sheikh of Al-Azhar confirmed that Islam respects the feelings of the betrothed woman, and the etiquette of Islam in that is for the suitor to see her first and look at her without knowing the fiancée, even if she falls into a site of satisfaction, he will come to her family after that and so that his justice does not affect her, and this is the mediation of Islam.
