white house
The epicenter of DC and by extension, the country: The White House is US government incarnate, it's hard to discern what goes on behind those walls...
Donald Trump Indicted on Criminal Charges
It should come as no surprise to almost anyone with an average to high IQ that Donald Trump is in deep fucking shit. Only the segment of society with a double-digit IQ of varying degrees would debate how serious things are looking for Trump. Or deny that he’s done anything worth prosecuting.
Jason ProvencioPublished 2 years ago in The SwampComplete Overhaul: Electing the President of the United States
» KEY POINTS The Democratic and Republican Parties have intentionally created a feeling of hopelessness among voters in order to manipulate the results of elections, especially for President of the United States. Eliminating the Electoral College is only the start; it must be replaced with a system that combines ranked choice with negative votes in order to tabulate the actual will of the people. Unless election timeframes are extended and results are withheld for at least a week after polls close, then there is the potential for people to feel they still have no voice and instead choose to stay home.
Twenty Reasons Why Nixon Was a Better President than Trump
Note: an idea like this was not formed in a vacuum. I once read a piece by the late P.J. O'Rourke about how Nixon was a better president than Clinton and thought it was a valid list. And now it is my turn with the former quitter and the one who cannot remain silent. Please enjoy the ride. It is not about playing fair; it is about telling some painful truths with laughter.

The Inauguration of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ushered in a new day in American history. If all goes according to plans those serving in the nation’s Capitol will look more like the citizens where make up this country than any time previously. It seemed as if overnight a fresh wind blew into the nation, but only 15 days prior to January 21, the White House was seized by domestic terroists. These Trump supporters attacked police causing one of them to die along with 4 other individuals. They climbed the walks, broke windows kicked in doors and erected a noose and chanted that they wanted to hang then Vice President Mike Pence.

Cheryl E PrestonPublished 3 years ago in The SwampDonald Trump causes his supporters that storm the White House
Donald Trump said last week to wait until January 6 and now we see what he was referring to. Trump supporters have stormed the White House and made their way inside the Capital building . Government officials have gone into hiding from those who believe the election was stolen. For weeks Trump had been inciting trouble even tweeting that today was going to be “a wild one.’ The president’s niece Mary warned on CNN that things would get worse as the inauguration neared and she was correct. It’s hard to imagine that so many Americans have been hoodwinked and bamboozled into thinking the Biden win was not legitimate. This situation has been 4 years in the making and those who turned a blind eye to Trump’s rhetoric can hide no more.

This is my personal story and you don't have to agree. If you have not walked in my shoes you will never understand. On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, I, along with other people of color, and the LBGTQ community felt a tightening in our chests. we braced ourselves for the worst and it came. My best friend said Trump would fire everyone as if he were still on The Apprentice and he did. I told her that racists would come out of the woodwork and they did. We both said The Donald would not be able to show himself presidential and he never did.
Cheryl E PrestonPublished 4 years ago in The SwampModerates Must Appeal to Progressives
Keep in mind this article is about facts. It’s not about how elections “should be” it’s about how elections are. The problem with moderates is that they get themselves worked up and frustrated when voters don’t do exactly as they are told.
Walter RheinPublished 4 years ago in The SwampTrump Flouts Rule of Law
We need to be very concerned. My clarion call is not hyperbole. We are now looking at President Trump no longer hinting at flouting the rule of law, but actually legitimizing Mr. Arpaio's willingness to defy a Federal Court Order while couching Mr. Arpaio's situation as a witch hunt.President Trump has used this "witch hunt" label as a broad stroke in painting Mr. Arpaio a "victim." Mr. Arpaio's actions cannot be minimized in one small capsule. Let's see who Trump pardoned.

It was January 2017, just days after Donald Trump was inaugurated in the White House, and newly-minted White House chief strategist Stephen K. Bannon was talking to The Hollywood Reporter, plotting the national future, and feeling his oats.
Michael Eric RossPublished 7 years ago in The SwampDear Donald: Telling a Military Vet Off Isn't the Way to Win Support
Mr. Trump: I am the child of a Canadian military vet. Granted, my father was not ever part of any deployment, though I do recall he spent six weeks in the Yukon when I was really young. I am also the wife of a Canadian military vet; my husband did spend time in Haiti, and let me assure you, what he went through there was no picnic in spite of the sunny locale. At the time, he was part of the United Nations deployment there in the late 1990s and was on site when the ferry disaster of 1997 occurred. In fact, several of the pictures he took (he was part of Combat Camera at the time) were disseminated by the Associated Press.
Christina St-JeanPublished 7 years ago in The Swamp'The Mooch' Is Out—But Why Was He In?
Queen jokes aside, why was Anthony Scaramucci even brought in as communications director? Was he even vetted at all? For starters, consider that Scaramucci was a man who took great pride in being known as "The Mooch." He was telegenic, with a ready smile and an easy mode of talking—things which in many ways former press secretary Sean Spicer lacked. However, even with a fair bit of charm on screen, "The Mooch" was apparently something of the sleaze that his nickname might imply.
