Politics does not dictate our collective cultural mindset as much as it simply reflects it; We've got to look in the mirror sometimes, and we've got one.
The Ukrainian Way
A photograph that oftentimes shows up in Facebook posts has enlivened me in an assortment of ways, especially while expounding on the force of the composing chain.
When the war ends
The most heinous atrocities of the Ukraine war are elsewhere, and are not limited to those attributed to the Russians, but to the Americans first, who falsify history and the present wholesale, and use the Ukraine issue as a stone on a chessboard. On the pretext that Russia has violated the rules of international law and undermined the sovereignty of a member state of the United Nations, which seems correct in the abstract, but it is also true, and with an enormous amount of safety and trust, that Washington is the last one who is justified in talking pervertedly about principles, laws and war crimes, not worse. America is an example of the heinous wars it waged against others. Indeed, America itself, as a country, grew up on massacres of killing and extermination, and was based on the ruins and skulls of tens of millions of Red Indians, and it fought more than ninety wars of aggression, starting with the seizure by force of the lands of neighboring countries and the usurpation of neighboring countries. Texas, California, New Mexico, and Florida are from neighboring Mexico.

Russia is buried in Ukraine battling Putin's revolting conflict. He's paying for the contention by selling oil and gas among different items. This is plain so that everybody might be able to see.
What Putin thinks
Nonetheless, on the centre of this tragedy lies one guy: vladimir putin. He has embarked on a murderous and crook warfare that also seems almost sure to be judged a massive strategic blunder – uniting europe, galvanising nato, destroying his economic system and separating his us of a. What passed off? There have continually been more than one competing perspectives of putin, falling alongside specific axes as to his competence, his intelligence, his morality. That is, some those who idea he changed into evil also thought he was smart, and some those who idea he turned into simply protecting russian interests also thought he become incompetent. Five years ago on this paper, at some stage in the boom in putinology that observed donald trump’s election, i made the case that putin become essentially a “everyday” flesh presser in the russian context. That didn’t mean he become in any manner admirable – the way prosecuted the battle in chechnya, which launched his presidential candidacy, was proof sufficient of his terrible intentions. Nor did i think he ought to be hacking hillary clinton’s emails. However i notion that, given russia’s history, its traumatic revel in of the put up-soviet transition, the internal dynamics of the yeltsin regime, and the broader geopolitical context, the person who took over from yeltsin changed into nearly positive to have been a nationalist authoritarian, whether or not or no longer he changed into named vladimir putin. The question seemed to be: could this different nationalist authoritarian, no longer named putin, have behaved very differently? Here there has been a few restricted ancient evidence, within the people of boris yeltsin (author of the primary conflict in chechnya) and dmitry medvedev (writer of the war in georgia), that he could now not.
Russia Hands Down Ultimatum
Russia, continuing the illegal war with Ukraine, made it clear 05:00 would be the deadline (03:00 UTC) to surrender Mariupol. Moscow has offered safe passage to Ukrainian fighters. The fighters apparently only need to give in. That's not going to happen any time soon. It didn't take Ukrainian officials long to respond. Ukraine has no intention of surrendering control of Mariupol to Russia.
Shain ThomasPublished 2 years ago in The SwampThe Hypocrisy of America with the war
America has been quick to support the Ukrainian war by helping the Ukrainians fight back with massive amounts of aid. Another 800 million were sent to Ukraine in aid for weapons. I understand America’s stance on the world stage to support democracies around the world. I believe that America should help Ukraine but I also believe that Europe has to be able to do more since the war is in their backyard. The world is watching this war as the Ukrainians fight back the Russians so much death on both sides. It seems surreal. America should not fight alone in other combats that don’t involve them. America has another war to fight that they have ignored for generations.
The Suicidal Incompetence of Russia's Tank Army
Military circles have long known Russia’s army was overrated. But this invasion has exposed them well beyond those assumptions.
Saad DjazairyPublished 2 years ago in The SwampNobody wants to admit it, but Vladimir Putin has already won.
I get it now. Nothing made sense until today, when Germany announced that it plans to keep buying oil and natural gas from Russia, even as Vladimir Putin continues committing every war crime on the books. China also recently came out in support of Russia, refusing to condemn the invasion of Ukraine and calling them a chief “strategic partner.”
Saad DjazairyPublished 2 years ago in The SwampAnother take on Poland
There's an article I wrote about Poland, many months ago, that attempts to capture a nation of people from the perspective of an insider, and you can still find it when you click my name and search through my published stories. In fact, I’m regularly in touch with extended family, and I hear first-hand accounts of the situation back home, as well as the war going on in Ukraine; not to mention that I've visited Poland on numerous occasions. With this being the case, and with my being careful to spot misinformation from abroad, I plan to shed some light on current events, namely: Putin's Invasion of Ukraine. My hope is — if you’re not already up-to-date with what has transpired in the past month — that, at least I'll be arming you with a bit of knowledge.
Delusions of GrandeurPublished 2 years ago in The SwampRussia Asks China For Help.
Russia is accused by the Joe Biden administration of asking China for military assistance in Ukraine. If this is the truth, it may show Russia is struggling to meet its military objectives. Why would this be so? Possibly because Russia did not expect such a tough resistance from Ukrainian forces. Also, state-of-the-art Western weapons are taking a toll, on Russian forces. After two weeks of entering Ukraine, it is only now, that Russia has made significant military progress.

2022, a year, people decided to move forward from COVID. The world going back to its normal roots, switching back to working from offices, reopening schools, and government allowance for social gatherings. Happiness in everyone’s mind. But the sudden war conditions between the two nations are enough to reduce this joy.
