Second amendment what does it mean ?

Everybody knows we have amendments that the United States was founded on and for many reasons all of these amendments are in place to ensure we are a free country for example we all know the first amendment is freedom of speech which give us Americans the right to speak our minds freely without being ridiculed but what protects our freedom of speech and all our other amendments ? Well the answer is simple it is our second amendment.

What is our second amendment ? It's our right to keep and bare arms that's right as Americans we are legally allowed in our constitution to own and legally carry with a carry permit. In todays world thing's have gotten forgotten for example when I was a kid in school we said our pledge of allegiance every morning to start the day, now kids no longer do that let alone the fact that with today's norm due to Covid-19 I think this is important to talk about.

The reason I'm stating all of this though however is to say this in our second amendment it specifically states SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED UPON now what does that mean you may ask ? well it means that the government is not allowed to take our right to keep and bare arms away from us just because they feel like it. Proper measures are in place to make sure all gun owners that are legally owning a firearm under the constitution are doing it the right way.

The government will paint out to you all gun owners are bad people and I can assure you it's actually quite the opposite, some of us own them for protection, some for competition shooting sports , some just to go to the range or even deer or duck and bird hunting most of crimes committed are non legal gun owners such as your felons who don't care about laws and own a firearm anyway for their own reasoning.

However even though its criminals doing stupid acts of violence we also all have to remember most of the crimes committed by them are not even in the realm if you will of a firearm its any other weapon besides a gun. Now when gun violence does take place a majority of the gun violence is all in pistol form so for example there was a chart I seen a while back and out of all firearms it was pistols so guns like your Glocks and other small handguns.

And to clear up one misconception about the AR-15 the AR part does not and I repeat DOES NOT stand for assault riffle it stands for ARMALITE whish is the company that makes the riffles so there is no full auto selection on the safety switch it is a semi-automatic firearm which means one pull of the trigger equals one bullet fired down range which is totally legal.

Back to pistols though, the main thing we all have to remember is no matter what the gun looks like and actually is the media will paint it out to make it sound like a fully automatic firearm is available to civilians and what they don't realize is that it is at least for the average joe not going to be possible for any of us to own anything of that caliber. Why ? well that one is kind of a self explanatory kind of question nobody wants any gun falling in the wrong hands let alone something of that caliber so now that I'm done ranting here's the main point I'm trying to make, our second amendment is here for a reason and to get rid of it completely changes who we are as a country if our right to bare arms is taken away what's next our freedom of speech ?

So just keep that in mind we are all Americans there is no race involved in this we need to ban together as a country and let our government know that we will not let them take away our freedoms but by doing it in a peaceful manor I'm all for standing up for what you believe in but rioting is not the way.
