Majorie Tayler Greene now defies Trump! Recently, on social media, multiple post have circulated showing her disdain for the Trump administration and how every one of his promises appears broken.
Who is Majorie Taylor Greene (MTG)? She was a republican congressional representative who entered congress representing Georgia’s 14th district. Prior to winning her election, she spent her campaign trail as a staunch supporter of Trump. She stood for his MAGA agenda and often criticized President Biden when he took office. However, her support for Trump waned during the second half of Trump’s return to the oval office. At the start of 2026, she resigned from congress and now opposes the Trump Administration.
What is she saying? She immediately claims the 2026 and 2028 elections will differ from 2024 for three main reasons. First, and possibly the alleged main reason for her resignation, she attacks Trump’s claims about the Epstein files. Once news broke about the Epstein files, Trump’s team immediately swooped in calling it a hoax. This might have been the straw to break MTG’s camel’s back. Next, she attacks Trump’s claim on affordability. At one point, Trump claimed to support affordability, but pulled a 180 to call it a hoax as well. She acknowledges affordability is not a hoax and recognizes the struggle millions of Americans’ struggle to stay afloat in the current Trump economy. She points out how the value of a dollar has dropped significantly, compared to 20 to 50 years ago. Last, she acknowledges Trump’s big promise of “no new wars.” She states Trump has the country entangled in a pointless war with Iran. She now claims the mid-term election and its subsequent 2028 election will be very different compared to 2024 with the country revolving around economic and political issues.
Millions of Americans know this already. The Epstein files remain locked up, with only bits and pieces released redacted. Congress’s confirmation of Todd Blanche as the US Attorney General will hinder Epstein survivors’ effort for a full release of the files. Blanche already claimed he will side with Trump and not the people of the United States. Millions of American wake up in the morning and watch as prices on food, gas, electricity, etc. inch future out of reach. Unemployment continues to grow while more workers are laid off, replaced by automation. Meanwhile, the country continues to its deadly dance with Iran at the cost of taxpayers’ dollar.
What will the 2026 mid-term elections bring? Already congressional democrats prepare their assault on the Trump administrations. Gearing up for a showdown leading to a possible impeachment. However, the Trump administration also prepares for either a strong rebuttal, or some form of remaining in office through election interference. Cue in the SAVE act.
Congressional republicans wrote The SAVE act to make our free and fair election not so free, or fair. The SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) act strengthened voter identity by forcing Americans to prove their US citizenship. In order to register to vote, all American need to verify their citizenship by either purchasing a Real ID, a passport, or showing proof of identity through an acceptable form of ID and a birth certificate. Fortunately, it failed in Congress. However, this is not stopping the Trump administration as they set their goal on concocting a plan to stop mail in voting (despite the fact that Trump, himself, voted in TWO Florida elections using a mail-in ballot).
Will MTG’s claim on the upcoming elections manifest as she announced? Who knows? What is evident is majority of the country is fed-up with Trump and his lies. He ran on “America” first, but so far, a year and a half into his alleged leadership, Americans witness the loss of so many rights, the increase in prices, chaos in the streets through ICE, and an exhaustive war. We will see what November brings.
