As a human race, we lack passion and purpose. Something that we can't find searching on Google. Although the environmental activists and many others who we've seen on the news and social media outlets, represents the missing passion that we lack. Using their voice for something they believe in and worth fighting for.

No one can find your passion for you. That's your job. Underneath those layers, you'll find pieces of your passion.

This whole climate crisis needs to be a global effort. Meaning any effort counts and effort comes with encouragement. Meaning that; not looking down on somebody because their effort doesn't equal or have the same definition as yours.

December 2019 Donald Trump sent a petty tweet about Greta Thunberg, claiming she needed to work on her "anger ... problem". She responded by paraphrasing Trump's tweet in her Twitter bio. Trump uses is social media platform to put out his unfiltered opinions and two cents. The tactics that he uses is through the manipulation by emphasizing stereotypes and spreading hate. Whatever is missing within Donald Trump, I do send my wishes for him find the missing pieces underneath the hatred.

The passion that the young activists show are amazing. That's something we need to encourage. Using your voice loud and clear to fight the injustice happening. They are fighting for a cause they believe in and is going to affect their future. Most people in power don't have to worry about their future because the time they have ahead is a lot less than the time they've already spent. It's understandable that some might not care because simply they won't be here to see the wreck our environment will turn into.

This is where compassion comes in, something that the systems is lacking. The people in power work for the public. They are there because majority have voted them in. It's their job to make the public's living suitanable. Their job is not to freely go off on a holiday while a country is in crisis. (Eg. Scott Morrison's actions during the breakout of the bushfires in Australia late 2019. Making the effort to go on a holiday instead of assisting the country). Volunteers and activists have shown much more dedication to fighting climate crisis that the people in power.

Protest and Complaints

There were plenty of people who criticize and mock activists. Which shows where others priorities are. - When hate is being exampled and shown. It usually means something is missing within that person who has spreaded that energy. In this context, passion and courage are missing.

The way any oppression were fought in the past, weren't by sitting quietly in the corner. It was a large group of people coming together because they see an injustice happening. With the rakus and distractions that the activists have cause it is part of the fight for injustice. The rakus and disruptions comes in hand in hand with injustice.

For example the LGBTQ community fighting for their rights to be able to express their true self. The community has fought many battles (and still is) with people in power. They haven't given up and they will keep going because fighting for injustice is something worth fighting for. The feeling of safety in your home to be able to express your true self, is a basic need for any human. Some aren't able to express their true self because it's simply not safe. - The feeling of not being safe in your country let alone walking down the street, is the real distraction.

Look at this way: The distraction from the activists on your way to work one morning, was inconvenient. That annoyed and pissed you off. Now, imagine that inconvenient everyday, maybe your whole life. It's inconvenient that we have to fight for our future home. A home that we shouldn't and can't destroy. The feeling of safety for young activists future is compromised by greed and money. The fact the people in power would rather create, a feeling of unsafety and uncertainty for the future is mind-boggling.

It's not wrong to want to have a safe and sustainable environment for your future. Complain all you want about the distractions and disruptions that any activists cause while fighting for injustice. Because at the end of the day, like I've stated. Injustice weren't fought by sitting quietly in the corner.

Simple Ways

It doesn't matter how much effort you put in. Because nobody can measure the efforts that you have contributed. That's something you can only measure. Each individual has different ways of measuring their efforts. Giving nobody the right to criticize someone else's efforts.

I believe that there is no point in bashing and criticizing the world leaders. Because that won't change their perception of the world and it won't make them change their priorities. - It's been decades of trying to persuade the people in power to change and go for the favour of what's good for the people. The people that they are serving. We have gotten to the point and have seen examples of the people in power that they don't want see the environment thrive and flourish. That type of green isn't what they want to see.

Making simple changes in your way of living to contribute to this global issue count much more than you think.

We can't change the people in power's priorities. We CAN change our way of living. There are many ways of living a sustainable life. Something that helps and chips in towards Mother Nature. These are simple ways that you are able to chip in.

// LIST OF SIMPLE WAYS:

1. Replacing plastic straws to metal.

2. Using reusable bags. Eg: Tote bag(s), reusable shopping bags

3. Picking up rubbish you see in on the ground.

4. Using a reusable water bottle.

5. Bring your own coffee mug/cup when ordering coffee out.

6. Have a plastic bag in your bag or car to put rubbish in.

7. Op/thrift shopping and re/upcycling clothing.

( From an article in The Balance )

8. Catching public transport.

9. Having a tank or large bucket in your backyard to catch rainwater. - Can be used for your garden and water plants etc.

10. Composting - using scrap/leftover food as fertilizer for your garden.

11. Try meatless Monday.

12. Be open to learning and change.

Adapting and changing your certain way of living and the food you consume, can be uncomfortable and maybe inconvenient in the beginnings. Like with starting any new habits it'll take time getting use too.

Although, it's a choice that can only be made by you. :||
