The young people are doing it.

We are living through a monumental time right now in Nigeria. The youths of the nation have taken to the streets to protest against the menace that is the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) here in the nation. For a long time, officers in the SARS force have oppressed Nigerians and used their position of power to bully and harass innocent civilians, especially the youth. The youth are fighting back.

But fighting back especially through protests is a big undertaking that demands some financial backing for food, medical services, legal fees, etc.

Seeing this need for funds as a gap that needed to be filled, young people didn’t just fold their hands, retreat and surrender. No, the youth showed up and banded together in order to raise funds that could help benefit the #EndSars movement.

Of the many people who have lent a hand and contributed, here are just 7 Young Nigerian Millionaires Who Are Funding The #EndSars movement that I have picked to show you today.

1. Olugbenga GB Agboola

Flutterwave co-founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola was one of the very first people to begin publicly funding the #EndSars movement and a lot of the other donations that came stemmed from Olugbenga’s first step.

The young CEO took to Twitter to write:

So many of us are affected by this injustice -

@theflutterwave staff have also been victims of the brutality of SARS, so we started an internal fund so we can help victims of SARS and support protesters.

We've raised 2m so far, and the team decided to open it up to the public.

We are 100% against all forms of violence & brutality and we need to band together to put an end to this.
