The owner of Facebook and other popular social media apps Mark Zukerberg used his Facebook account to show support and solidarity for the death of George Floyd. He said:

'Right now i'm thinking of George Floyd, his Family and those who knew him. I hope this verdict brings some measure of comfort to them, and to everyone who can't help but see themselves in his story. We stand in solidarity with you, knowing that this is part of a bigger struggle against racism and injustice'.

George Floyd was murdered on May 25, 2020 who was suspicion of using counterfeit bill . During arrest Derek Chauvin, a white Policer officer with the Minneapolis Police Department, knelt on Floyd's neck for nine minutes and 29 seconds after he was handcuffed and lying face down. Two police officers, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane, assisted Chauvin in restraining Floyd, while another officer, Tou Thao, prevented bystanders from interfering with the arrest and intervening as events unfolded.

Floyd had complained about being unable to breathe prior to being on the ground, but after being restrained he became more distressed and continue to complain about breathing difficulties, the knee on his neck and expressed the fear he was about to die. After several minutes passed Floyd stopped speaking. Further two minutes, he lay motionless and Officer Kueng found no pulse when urged to check. Despite this, Chauvin refused pleas to lift his knee until medics told him to. However, his death has since spawned worldwide protests against police brutality, police racism, and lack of police accountability.

Perhaps, Mark Zukerberg who has about 116,585,870 followers got replies from his followers, 80% also shows support and feel concerned about his death. read below

A verified user known as Maria Ude Nwachi said ' Only correct verdict ! I just wish this wasn't one of the few cases were justice is actually being served. So many more deserved and deserve his, the fight continues for them.
