Us verses Them - Who will Win?

I've read lots of articles and news clips over many years that deal with political leaders. They share all kinds of experiences and world travel throughout their lifetime. This particular group of people are the upper crust of the rest of humanity. I find that life on this planet has morphed into two groups of people, the ultra rich and the rest of us. The smaller, elite group will eventually live in their own gated communities while the rest of us scrounge for what ever we can find. Think I'm crazy? Let's look at three cases of what is going on right now.

The first example I'll call “Fly Over Country”. Normally we would have to go through different types of check points. It's not just in the United States. All airports have some type of screening. You need to get there two or three hours before boarding. Hopefully, you'll be able to take off without returning back to the airport. That's what flying has turned into for regular people.

Now, how do the elites fly? First off the don't have check points or long lines. They own very expensive, very private, aircraft with beautiful seating arrangements. They fly when and where they want to go. Beautiful fields and luscious forests are at their pleasure. Lakes, rivers, and even oceans provide gorgeous charm. Yes, they travel on their own aeronautics, but not the rest of humankind.

Our second example refers to living expenses. I'll refer to this as the “Gated Community”. There are more and more homeless living in whatever they can find. Take a look at cities like San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, New York, ect. There are more and more people every day that loose their homes, their belongings, their cars, their jobs, the list goes on. What are these people supposed to do? They sleep on filthy streets in front of businesses. Owners are then taxed and fined so they do the cleaning. It's a no no situation for both groups of humans.

Do leaders have the same problems? Not a chance. They go around the homeless and indigent to their massive and private estates. They expect someone else to pick up the mess. Parties and gatherings fill up the banquet tables with all kinds of incredible foods while their pools and gardens are immaculately maintained. How wonderful to live in a palatial mansion. The masses are lucky if they can afford a small house in the city with gas, electric, and water.

I'll call our last example “The Inside Track of the Elitists”. The masses who work many times will work two jobs just to keep above the poverty line. Even when people are able to own a little better house and work a little better job they still are not as wealthy as the leaders. I know several people who work 7 days a week. Having a day off sometimes is a luxury. And don't forget to pay all the taxes you owe.

I think this is an area that finally puts everyone on equal standards? Nope, zip, and nada. You might be amazed to learn that leaders don't pay taxes like the rest of us. They earn incredible amounts of money since they know when and where to put in and take out investments. Our leaders regularly do this. Explain to me how these people go in as “paupers” but come out as millionaires when they are only suppose to work on legislation. So where does all of this lead to.

Our leaders live very comfortable lives. Environmental concerns mean very little to them. They don't worry about vehicles or planes. They might buy an electric power car but not for regular driving. Just to “look” good but their real transportation with continue to be gas or diesel vehicles. Governments, for the most part, have not continued over the years, to produce new utility companies as the older ones are taken off line. We're talking 30 plus years that newer plants should have not been built. To merely remove older plants without building newer ones is a bad omen. The west coast especially has already needed to turn off utilities for short terms. Just to talk about vehicles, they want to eliminate gas and diesel vehicles totally in 10 – 15 years. Wonderful! How do you expect to use these cars when there is not anywhere near the electric to power buildings AND vehicles. And this is just one state.

Here's another issue. This state will not allow regular, controlled burning in the larger forests. Unfortunately, every year more fires start and more buildings burn to the ground. These leaders ignore this stuff and then blame someone else for this result. I'll tell you that we live in a different state where the preserve actually does do controlled burning. At least right know they do. This is how dead wood is removed and new plants grow and buildings are protected.

I think that as long as we have two, and only two, people groups not much will happen to improve environmental living. The leaders will continue to live above and the rest of us remain on the ground with diminishing vegetative and forest growth. Kind of reminds me of a Star Trek episode where the Ardanans lived in the clouds and the Troglytes worked under the ground. Until the leaders loose control of their fortunes it will be a waiting game.
