The film is similar to A Life On Our Planet; however, the series has a different approach. It was released last year on Netflix and explored the issues the wildlife and the habitats are facing. The film also discusses how humans are threatening the environment and thousands of animal species.

Our Planet got a fantastic response from critics as well as from viewers. It received an approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 27 reviews with an average rating of 8.33/10. And it scored 88 out of 100 on Metacritic. Critics said that the film consciously shows the fragility of the species and the ecosystem that is being greatly affected by humans’ actions.

Frozen Planet

Ray Dal directed the nature documentary film Frozen Planet, co-produced by The Open University and the BBC. David Attenborough served as a narrator to the project and was executively produced by Alastair Fothergill. Fothergill won many awards for previous projects like Planet Earth and The Blue Planet.

The docuseries consists of seven parts. All seven parts of the series focused on the environment and life of the Antarctic and Arctic. The film team wanted to capture the natural history of the portal regions, affecting the landforms like sea ice, glaciers, and ice shelves due to climate change. Frozen Planet scored 90 out of 100 on Metacritic.

2040

2040 is an Australian documentary movie directed, written by, and starring Damon Gameau. The film focuses on the planet in the future over the next 20 years. It also explores the effects of the technologies that we are using today can reserve in the future.

The movie is different from the previous films in the above list. It certainly talks about climate changes and the dangerous situation that may occur if humankind won’t watch its actions. However, the movie also talks about how current technologies can positively revert climatic challenges.

2040 got a fantastic response from critics and received an approval rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 22 film critics with an average rating of 6.88.
