Happy Pride Month, everyone! I know that it's really tense right now with everything going on, and there is a lot of uncertainty, but I hope that you are still celebrating yourselves for who you are. You are all loved and accepted!

It's pretty simple, really. Believe it or not, there are black members of the LGBTQIA+ community, such as Janelle Monae, Amandla Stemberg, Samira Wiley, Laverne Cox, Frank Ocean, James Baldwin, need I go on?

So of course. It doesn't make sense to fight for one cause and complete disregard the other, especially when black trans women are getting murdered. The trans community have lost Dominique Fells and Riah Milton due to transphobic violence recently, and no one is doing enough to fight for justice. Tony McDade was murdered by a police officer and was mis gendered when his murder was reported. Disgusting.

If you are going to fight for Black Lives Matter, include the LGBTQIA+ community, not just for the straight and cis. All Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter means the people that some of you (I really don't know why, though) are against.

This message is for everyone, ESPECIALLY the black community. I feel like the black community reeks with homophobia, biphobia and transphobia; basically they behave like bigots towards the LGBTQIA+ community. THAT IS NOT OKAY.

It is NOT okay to be the racist white people of the black community because you don't agree with something that CANNOT be helped. Fight for ALL lives, or fight for none. Make your choice, and make sure that it is the right one.

We have got to protect the LGBTQIA+ community more. It's one thing facing racial discrimination because of the colour of your skin, but facing more discrimination over your sexual orientation? And facing that from your own people?

And then they're going to go and preach about 'solidarity'. They can't even spell it. They probably spell it like 'everyone except the gay community'.

Yes. That's how they really sound.

If you are homophobic and transphobic, then you are not pro black, and you're not preaching Black Lives Matter the right way. This cannot be argued. If your first instinct is to argue with this, then we have a problem: You.

You cannot control being black. You cannot choose to be black. This is the same as you cannot choose to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, pansexual, asexual, polysexual, non binary, you CANNOT choose your sexual orientation and identity, and if you could, WHY would it be so bad?

Why does someone's identity affect you? Talk to me. If you are unhappy with someone who identifies themselves as lesbian or bisexual, any orientation and identity from the LGBTQIOA+ community, then you have a serious, serious problem. I recommend the BetterHelp app.

Not only should you be educating yourselves over racism, we should educate ourselves on the LGBTQIA+ community also. Not because it's Pride Month, because black LGBTQIA+ members face more violence because of their sexual orientation and identity, which is something that us straight, cisgender people will never experience. We need to be better. We need to be more vocal on this. We need to protect our black LGBTQIA+ siblings more. We need to read work by black LGBTQIA+ members and support them. If we're supporting all black people, don't leave the LGBTQIA+ community out of it.

It is EVERYONE that you are fighting for, or NO ONE.

It is impossible to say Black Lives Matter and turn your nose up at the LGBTQIA+ community. It cannot be done. Our fellow members of the black community are also part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Don't forget about them too. Please.

We're talking about black women next.

[Please still donate, sign petitions, educate yourselves and share!]
