Do Not Celebrate Fourth of July.

I’ve took some time to really register all of the events that have taken place. Now finally as a black man, I can speak out on this subject and give my opinion.

This is America. Where a cop can murder an innocent black man and get away with it. Where black people are still being discriminated everyday. Where there is social injustice in our community everyday. It is also a place where Racism still exists. And 4th of July is a holiday that is celebrated for America nationality, pride and independence and that is a lie.

The 4th of July as we all know is a national holiday that is supposed to celebrate American’s independence, hence the nickname for it as “Independence Day.” But, I’ve come to terms and done research that 4th of July only celebrates the fathers of America freedoms, the same “founding fathers” who were racist.

I’m also recent news, that has been all over of a fallen soldier named Vanessa Guilen who was brutally raped and murdered and her body was missing for several days. That is right. Our own American military that our government spends trillions of dollars on every year covered her murder up while she was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas.

This is a heavy topic and we as “Americans” must be careful to express our opinions. But this has gone on too long. This has caused us as Americans to be more divided than ever. This started as cops be black People and has now turned into everyone vs racist

To be honest, why in the world are we STILL talking about racism or debating about it? Racism and Corruption is prejudice, discrimination and antagonism of thinking you’re is superior than another. We are in the year 2020 where some have grown into the existence of the 21st century.

Here is my two cents. Hate can only be TAUGHT and learned and you aren’t born with it. So obviously there is a division against these racists vs everyone. While these are going on, Notice how OUR PRESIDENT OF THESE “UNITED STATES” HAS NOT SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THIS. He has not offered to help the city of Minneapolis during the riots against police. Don’t you see that our president is running a dictatorship and does not support his American people. He only cares about his upper class friends and others who have the same power as him.

The only thing I have to ask is Do not celebrate this holiday. It is clear the America independence does not mean what it seems. America independence should represent everyone and protect everyone who is a citizen in this country. Until the day I see that happens, I will not be celebrating 4th of July EVER AGAIN.

In the past 2 months this year, a black man named George Floyd was murdered by police officer as he stood on his neck shouting “I Can’t breathe” for 8 minutes & 46 seconds. Breonna Taylor who was a 26-year-old EMT was murdered in her own home when police DID NOT have a warrant, and a soldier who was serving in the military was brutally raped and murdered by her OWN team and her station covered it up. Does that make you angry? Does that make your blood boil because it should. Corporate America, I’m talking directly to you. This whole thing is about money and they are trying to profit off of this. Just to let you know it won’t go unnoticed because people are still protesting and fighting back. If you read this post and did not feel anger, and take a good look in the mirror and realize you are part of the problem. Do not let your “American Pride” get in the way of realizing what is wrong within our home land.
