Where do White people come from?

For a myriad of reasons, it's quite feasible that this will be my final blog post. No; I don't plan on going anywhere, necessarily.

I have a couple of Rugrats to look after, and I'm pretty sure that there's little to no potential blowback for myself or my circle for this post anyway. Either way, something's gotta give.

All things considered, this matter has been weighing heavy on my heart for over a decade now. Ironically, it's only been the last couple years or so that I began to have "a moment of clarity" in regards to it.

Naturally, the pandemic and my current situation effectively prevent me from going practically anywhere also. Regardless, there's a sliver of hope that I will be able to get my first visa before it's completely game over.

Not to be construed as a complete work of free association, I mulled over this particular piece for at least several hours or so before committing to it. I tarried a bit over every component til I was satisfied with a somewhat loose framework.

Now to dispel a couple of myths and help bring about what I pray will be a sort of mass disillusionment. Without further ado:

The basic societal structure of The West more or less revolves around several falsehoods. They are the very foundation of "the system".

1.) Black people are inferior, and the darker the pigment, the more undeserving of basic human rights. This is becoming less mainstream; tho, still prevalent nonetheless.

It can be effortlessly evidenced by our representation in the media, and up until recently, the lack there of for that matter. May anyone who disagrees with this sentiment collect their closest friends and fam come together to link with me over a few bridges that I have for sale.

2.) Race, nationality, and ethnicity are inexplicably integral and will forever remain so. Also, it's always been this way.

Again, there's bridges and waterfront property available to purchase and/or rent for anyone who believes this nonsense.

Quick and rough definitions: Race- a myth in and of itself; or "a social construct", if you will. It's barely five hundred years old (Google it, if doubtful).

Nationality- Not quite as young as the aforementioned; though, nowhere near as old as ethnicities. For instance, is there any particular country that you "pledge [your] allegiance to"?

If not, chances are that you still operate under the guise of citizenship to some nation. Regardless of how much you may or may not find your country's Gov't to be detestable; it's a strong feasibility that you are at least ostensibly loyal to them and, arguably, the nation as a whole.

Last, but certainly not least, Ethnicity- A collective of culture and the like that you and likely your closest loved ones owe y'all's upbringing, as well as ideals and aspirations, to in large part. It's not egalitarian; not by a long shot.

However, no one has likely made it out of this life alive, save a few prophets or so.

That reminds me: we've been putting profits over people and Mother Earth for entirely too long. It's odious.

Rumor has it that racism is dead and gone. Pair that along with the factoid that the colors Black and White used to have opposite meanings, and you're brewing almost a perfect storm.

Has there never been a moment in studying Latin based languages where you wondered aloud, "Why in the name of sweet baby Jesus does the [Spanish] word for White, 'Blanco', almost seem to be a perfect alliteration for the English word Black?"

Another matter of fact that has essentially been "Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt": Two Black mates can create a baby without any pigment (albinos). The reciprocal, though, is categorically false and impossible.

Tl;dr- There was a time that White people were treated like they were subhuman. The current blowback that so-called Blacks and Mother Earth are experiencing is, to reference the late, great Brother Malcolm, "Chickens coming home to roost."
