Democrat or Republican? Conservative or Liberal? Left wing, or Right wing? Questions that are oh so prevalent in today's society, especially here in the US. With these questions we are all thrown into a box. Are you a racist xenophobe, or are you a thieving snowflake?

How about neither?

What? You mean I don’t have to be either of these things in order to care about my country and the laws that are passed? THAT’S RIGHT! But are we told that? No.

Well, if you fall somewhere in the middle of this spectrum you must be an Independent. But wait! You can’t vote independent because that is a wasted vote.

The truth is, there are a LOT more of us “middle of the isle” types than anyone else. So, why are we still stuck in this two-party system? One simple answer rings louder than any other…. Corruption. You heard me right. Those on the “Left” say the “Right” is corrupt, while those on the “Right” say the same about the “left”. Truth is, it is a tactic to distract you because in fact, BOTH parties are corrupt. Right down to the core. Whether or not you believe in the Christian bible, the truth still remains that “a house divided against itself will fall.” This fact has been proven over and over throughout history. Kingdoms fighting against itself for what they would call the “rightful” king. Wars have been waged for less.

If you believe in something, yes, it is worth fighting for. I get that. But what will all this bickering and fighting get us in the end? One man fighting for something he believes in is worth more than a thousand paid soldiers. We have all heard this. But in the end, the same always happens. Destruction.

Those of us in the middle, we don’t have a voice and its time for that to change. We are in every state, every county and every city. So why do we give all the power to the few? Because its easier? Is it because we are told from children that, this particular change is impossible? But wait, isn’t this country supposed to be THE land of equal opportunity?

“Not that kind of opportunity though.”

Sure, there have been those who stood up to the corruption and said, “My voice deserves to be heard!” Unfortunately for those rallying for the majority, the majority ignores them. Why? Fear.

Just because they have more money than they know what to do with, we should keep our mouths shut and fall in line? I say NOT ANYMORE! In an age where we hear the word “change” more than ever, there is NO change. Where are those who stand up for the people, those who want to do what’s right for no other reason than its right? I distinctly remember being told growing up, when I posed the question to my mother “well I have views that agree with BOTH sides” she told me, "You always vote for what you believe to be the lesser of two evils.".

Wow.

How screwed up is it that? Why is picking the lesser of two evils the only option we have? No one is perfect. We all know that. But why should we have to choose evil at all?

We all know about the child sex trade that is taking place in our county and around the world. We are all aware and most of us are disgusted by it. So, why is it still taking place?

Corruption.

If you think pretty words coming out of the mouths of politicians on every level of government is the truth, I fear for our children more than ever. Our country is sick and flooded with the blood of innocents. Why you ask? Because those same politicians shouting angry words at those abducting and harming children, are supporting them behind the scenes. THEY MAKE THE LAWS, then blame the other party when the very laws they’re making protect the rights of these evil people.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again expecting different results. So why are we still hanging on to a system that is insane? Why can’t we vote for people that could actually make a difference? Someone who isn’t privy to the corruption? Simple, they’d never allow it. If you want to see real, actual change in our society, a change for the better, we must abolish this two-party system. It’s time for a real revolution. The problem is, how can we do anything without a leader that isn’t afraid, and isn’t corruptible? Money and power corrupt good people every day. So, who is worthy? This has been a question all throughout history. Who can take the power without twisting it for their own desires?

Our government was founded on these same beliefs. There was an entire war fought so that we could live in a country free of corruption. That is why we have three branches of government to prevent the corruption. Unfortunately for us, all three branches have fallen to corruption. The very thing created to prevent it, couldn’t prevent it.

So, what are we to do? Are we to just accept it and move on?

I say, NO. We should fight back. The question is how? Violence begets violence. And violence is unacceptable. “Work within the law if you want to change it”. Wise words indeed. But how do we do this, especially when the law is written to keep you from making a change, and people in charge to make sure change is impossible?

I beg you, don’t fall for pretty lies. A snake is a snake and can’t help its nature. Vote on actions, not on words. Judge on actions, not on words. I can say I will solve world hunger, but unless my actions prove otherwise, it doesn’t make it so.

So, what would happen if EVERYONE who is tired of this two-party system and the corruption that comes with it didn’t vote? If the millions of people who were in the middle of the isle and sick of what this system has done to our loved ones, didn’t vote? There would still be a president come November fourth, yes. But the numbers would hurt them. Then we could let them see who has the true power, we would then only have to reach out and take it.
