IWSH is the International Water, Sanitation and Hygiene foundation. The foundation focuses on health, prosperity, and to help provide a better world with clean and sanitary water globally. IWSH beliefs along with CAWST, WE and the United Nations Goal 6 all have one goal in common and that is to help create a better world. With the help of these other organizations it brings in a larger skilled workforce to design and build the much-needed water and sanitation systems. These three organizations have broader connections globally which allows for larger opportunities for them to accomplish their goals. This will be a new change since IWSH mainly has worked with the USA, India, Nepal, South Africa, and Indonesia in the past.

Clean water and safe sanitation are something every country and region should have available to them. Globally, there are 780 million people who do not have access to clean water and 2.5 billion people lack access to safe sanitation. Hopefully IWSH and the other organizations can come together and change these statistics, to achieve "the goal of creating healthy and safe water globally.

The goal of the organization CAWST (Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology) is to assist with technical training and information about water and sanitation in developing countries. CAWST's fundamental beliefs are that all people should have the right to a safe and secure supply of water. All people in the world have a responsibility to help create and support institutions, economic systems, and social structures for the right to have clean water for all. Local populations are developing sustainable solutions for their own needs and basic

services. Nonprofit organizations provide leadership in improving the living conditions of third world countries. "Democratic governing processes and systems create organizational success and strong leadership is essential for change."

CAWST is a great organization that supports the public sector with education and training to improve skills and help empower people to act within their own homes in order to have safe solutions for clean water. Household water treatments are a great first start towards clean water and because it is affordable and can reach a larger number of people for a cleaner future. Barriers are always an issue with fixing a global problem, but CAWST helps lift barriers by improving quality, scaling-up, and effectiveness of the programs. They also provide technical support and online services. CAWST is a great Canadian company that understands the necessity for clean drinking water and has ideas that blend with IWSH’s work so that both wonderful organizations can help fix this "global problem together."

WE is making an impact that shouldn't go unnoticed. They have created clean water and sanitation programs that have generated a "40% increase in community members engaging in clean water usage". An example of their important work includes two wells fixed in Udawad India, that has provided clean water to over 800 families in that area. The WE organization has also helped Los Rios, a community near the Amazon rainforest. The water from the Amazon is mostly undrinkable and the WE organization has partnered with the Yakupro foundation to help formulate the most advanced water system and help decrease mercury levels in the Amazon. They have trainers from their foundation to create refresher courses on the system; also focusing on maintenance and checking if the water is regularly still clean to drink. The Yakupro foundation serves the region of Ecuador and Los Rios. The WE organization creates numerous opportunities for cities and small communities within countries to help create a sustainable world.

The United Nations has created sustainable development goal 6, which stands for the 6th goal for the sustainable development for the United Nations. “Data suggests that achieving universal access to even basic sanitation services by 2030 would require doubling the current annual rate of progress." The intention for the United Nations is to focus on the effective use and management of water. This is crucial for directing the growing need for water, "threats to water security and the increasing frequency and severity of droughts and floods resulting from climate change." . The purpose is to have sanitary, clean water and a focus on women and children who are in danger. This was their goal for 2030 but at this pace globally, they will not be able to reach that mark. The focus is towards people possessing safe sanitation services, improving water quality by reducing pollution. Also, ideas towards a friendlier future are surrounding the beliefs of reusing, recycling and reducing wastewater and being safely treated for general consumption. “Increase water-use efficiency across” the globe and focus on new and innovative ways of creating water-usage. The goal in 2019 was, “by 2020”to protect and restore natural ecosystems". Currently in 2020, this has not been completed yet. The COVID-19 pandemic has delayed the progress towards goal 6. The idea is to have international cooperation for managing sanitation, clean water and having a central focus within governments for developing plans towards sustainable living.
