Voices not done speaking for change

Joining together sharing our view points regarding the tragic murders of innocent black citizens across the united states teaches awareness as well as our own experiences living in america. Our voices create a positive impact as we unity together as one human race. Lets draw awareness in the motive of our actions to become a better people as a whole. If you are a non black citizen, ask your self these questions:

Have i ever said a black person was using the race card?

When someone from another culture says a black person is using a race card, it insinuates that they then understand what it feels to be a black person in america. The phrase "they are always pulling the race card", implies that when black people don't deserve to speak up for their right to be treated fairly or receive the same equality of rights as a human being.

Black Lives Matter

Have you said all black lives matter and if so what are your reasons for saying it?

Black Lives Matter is not only a phrase, but it is a message that should be used with a true understanding. In order for us to become one human race it is important for non black citizens to think about why they are saying black lives matter, or posting the sign of in their yards.

If non black citizens are posting the signs in their yards to avoid their businesses being vandalized, then their motive is wrong. However, if they are saying black lives matter because they truly sympathize with the unfair treatment against black lives, then i want to thank you for standing for what is right.

All lives matter! But what is wrong with with the black citizens of the untied states saying black lives matter?

The human rights of black people across america have been violated against. Many homicide victims and their families have fallen victim to racist violence. The hatred of racist violence has become like a deadly virus causing many innocent black lives losing their lives. Black people shouldn't have to worry about the reality of what could happen when their loved ones go out for a drive. In the case of Sandra bland, who was pulled over for a disobeying a minor traffic violation had resulted to racial violence leading up to her death.

There are many black people who are pulled over in traffic for something minor and fear being beat or killed for the color of their skin. Officers who use phrases such as "Ill light you up", while using physical force in attempt to harm another human being is a clear indicator that the intent is coming from hate.

There are some good police officers who protect and serve, but it wasn't the case for Ahmaud Arbery who was shot for going on a jog as his family knew he always loved to do. My oldest son is a black young athletic male who enjoys walking and jogging in the community. I can say at times i have been afraid of what could happen to him if he looked suspicious. The harsh reality is there may be some good officers, but there are many racist police officers who are not concerned with protecting and serving the black community. Police officers who use physical force that causes someone to stop breathing should be treated as any other citizen who commits murder.

Micheal Brown who was shot several times for walking in a two lane street and Trayvon Martin was murdered for wearing a hoodie and purchasing snacks from the store. Black parents in vulnerable communities shouldn't have to worry about what will happen when their children walk out the doors.

My boys wear hoodies too and i use to let them play with toy guns until twelve year old. Tamir Rice was murdered outside for playing with one. Once i caught one of my boys playing with a toy gun outside. My boys were allowed to play with toy guns, but the rule was to ever play with them outside. In fear of what could happen to my son his toy was taken away the day i caught him playing with it outside. The sad reality is parents in black communities have to worry for the safety of their children when being racially profiled. No parent should have to worry about their child being shot for playing with a fake gun or being beaten for being black.

Victims who may never receive justice

There are so many families who may not receive justice. There needs to be psych evaluations and new training put in place for officers handling different situations. In 2005, a young teachers life was taken after she was shot multiple times by police officers. The victim was kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend who was the suspect of armed robbery and a double homicide case.

When the police located the suspect and hostage in a vehicle, the boyfriend was shot in the leg. After shooting the ex-boyfriend in the leg and the woman trying to get out of the car the police reacted to quickly young woman multiple times. When the family received the autopsy it showed the blood splatter didn't match the projectory of the bullets.

The police didn't use the right procedures for a hostage situation. The reason i can speak for the change in handling hostage situations is because i was the sister in law of the victim. My sister in law at the time didn't receive justice. However, there is a chance the family can find a sense of comfort through others finally receiving justice through the Police Accountability Act (HR5777).

Unlawfully entering homes without a search warrant

Breonna Taylor was shot in her home after the police entered the wrong home without a search warrant. Her situation reminds me of a time i was living in South central Los Angeles. The police came in my apartment without a search warrant. I remember the police breaking the hinge off of my door shouting get back, aiming a big gun in my face. They were looking for my boyfriend at the time. I was trying to protect my child from falling off the bed to prevent any injuries. When i looked up and saw the gun of a police officer aimed in my face.

My human rights were violated against and i decided to call internal affairs for unlawfully entering my home. Then the police came a second time but this time in the middle of the night demanding me to come with them. I'm glad my boyfriend at the time spoke up for me; otherwise i could have been a victim like in the case of Breonna Taylor. Also, he could have have been a victim the same night if it wasn't for me yelling out for neighbors to help. Because so many voices were shouting at the officers they decided to let him go.

There are many black people in vulnerable communities who don't receive the justice they should receive with their their loved ones cases being swept under the rug. Those in the black community with all sexual orientations deserve justice. Police officers should face the same consequences as anyone else for their actions. George Floyd died from suffocation. Our voices are called to action against anyone else becoming victims of wrongful deaths by the hands of those who shouldn't be officers.

George Floyds and others who fell victim of hate crimes shine a light on our society. Everyone is now paying attention to the issues that are necessary for our human race to address. There need to be a new cultural awareness training for students who are becoming police officers. The huge cultural movement of the black lives in america is on a rise in creating positive change for black people, while others stand with them for justice and equality for all.
