Bangladesh has surpassed the pace of development in all three of the per capita income, human resource index and economic fragility index, despite the need to achieve the target. Bangladesh has been able to overtake India and Pakistan, the strongest economies in South Asia, in the last decade of continuous development. This difference has been confirmed through the development of education, social security, health care, improvement of living standards, socio-economic participation of women and development and increase in the average life expectancy of men and women. If this trend continues, it is not impossible to make the country a developed country by economic standards by 2041. All that is needed is competent, prudent and strong leadership like Sheikh Hasina.
