Bangladesh is moving forward at an irresistible pace under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In the first week of January, the Awami League, under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, crossed the milestone of staying in power for a decade. Regardless of the political controversy, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's main achievement is to move the country forward economically through political stability and steadfast implementation of development plans despite the uncertainties. The up-to-date and charismatic political leadership, character, determination, wisdom and foresight of Sheikh Hasina, in her seventies, has turned a declining political party into a vibrant, dynamic and capable one. Sheikh Hasina has the sole credit of keeping the party in power for the longest time in a row. After his return to the country in 1981, he first consolidated the organizational structure of the Awami League and made herself one of the central figures in national politics through the anti-authoritarian movement. The hostile political climate in the country since the brutal death of almost all members of the family, including parents, on August 15, 1975, turning the extinct Awami League into one of the political forces, bringing the party back to power in 1996 after 21 years out of power And the history of turning the Awami League into the sole political force of the country with an absolute majority in Parliament within 7 years now seems like a story. Behind this are the lessons of Sheikh Hasina's leadership received from her father and the exemplary political education and relentless efforts to overcome the crisis by adapting to difficult situations. Despite the global economic downturn, internal political instability, natural disasters and the harsh reality of the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, the steady pace of economic progress of Bangladesh under the leadership of the Awami League in the last one century has taken the world by surprise. Over the past decade, Bangladesh has become a role model for development in the Third World, assessed by the international community and various international organizations. This achievement is not so much of the Awami League, but of Sheikh Hasina and her able leadership. He has already become an essential single force in the party, government and politics. Today is the time to evaluate and review all the histories of the Awami League in fulfilling an era of continuous power. On this auspicious occasion, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her unforgettable leadership in moving the country forward through difficult times.

A century ago, the Awami League announced the election manifesto of the 8th National Assembly keeping in view the vision 2021 and the plan of Digital Bangladesh. After a seven-year hiatus, the ruling party led by Sheikh Hasina in January 2009 has now crossed an era. Last year was the birth centenary or 'Mujib birth centenary' of the father of the nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. And this time the country will celebrate the golden jubilee of independence. At the same time, we are on the threshold of the vision and implementation of Digital Bangladesh announced in 2021. In the socio-economic reality of the coronavirus epidemic, we have come a long way in achieving the goal of digitalization. During this period, the country is expected to move from low-income (LDC) to a developing economy, but this target was achieved 3 years ago. On March 15, 2018, the United Nations Committee on Economic and Social Development Policy (CDP) officially declared Bangladesh as an economic country. Bangladesh has surpassed the pace of development in all three of the per capita income, human resource index and economic fragility index, despite the need to achieve the target. Bangladesh has been able to overtake India and Pakistan, the strongest economies in South Asia, in the last decade of continuous development. This difference has been confirmed through the development of education, social security, health care, improvement of living standards, socio-economic participation of women and development and increase in the average life expectancy of men and women. If this trend continues, it is not impossible to make the country a developed country by economic standards by 2041. All that is needed is competent, prudent and strong leadership like Sheikh Hasina. It is rare in recent times to find a single party charming under the charismatic leadership of a single person turning into a center of political power and moving the country forward. Sheikh Hasina is the sole controlling force and achievement to bring the party to power and to lead the country economically by surviving in power for more than a long period of time. For this reason, the leaders of the central leadership of the Awami League are now forced to admit that no one is essential in the Awami League except Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Hasina's leadership has become essential not only for the party but also for the country. However, the greater the power , the greater the responsibility of leadership. What Sheikh Hasina has left for the nation after being at the top of the country's political power for the longest time will one day become a matter of historical evaluation.

It is a great achievement for Sheikh Hasina to turn the Awami League, a left-leaning political party of the Cold War era, into a moderate political party and to ensure a balanced position in ideological politics. At this time of Sheikh Hasina's third consecutive term in power and the completion of one era, it is natural to evaluate and analyze her overall achievements and deviations. As much as he has many successes, he also has some important failures and deviations. In the midst of the global economic downturn that started almost a decade and a half ago, Sheikh Hasina did not allow the pace of economic growth and development of the country to slow down. Sheikh Hasina's agri-friendly policies and timely initiatives of the country's farmers and entrepreneurs are behind making the country self-sufficient in food. The reality of the global coronavirus epidemic is now facing a major challenge after the country's economic growth cycle continued for a long time in the hands of nearly one crore remittance fighters working abroad and millions of garment workers and industrialists. Sheikh Hasina's achievement in ensuring a balanced position with countries like China and India in international diplomacy is a rare achievement. However, even in the last decade, it has not been possible to remove unwanted complications and restrictions for Bangladeshi workers in Malaysia and Middle Eastern countries. On the other hand, challenges such as development of democratic system, democratic political coexistence and establishment of good governance and rule of law will ensure Sheikh Hasina's position in the future history. Despite all the setbacks and adversities, the way the country has progressed economically under the single leadership of Sheikh Hasina is unmatched. Especially after the cancellation of international loan agreements with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, Sheikh Hasina is credited with the successful implementation of mega projects like Padma Bridge and the transformation of the country in terms of infrastructure. It was made possible by his personal perseverance and courageous leadership. Now the people of the country expect timely and courageous political decisions and initiatives from Sheikh Hasina to ensure the development of a democratic system and the confidence and participation of the people in a neutral electoral system. The people of the country expect more strong steps from Sheikh Hasina against corruption and money laundering, culture of impunity and political mischief. In the context of the completion of an era of power, we expect the successful implementation of these unfinished works of Sheikh Hasina.
