Another Year and Another Senseless Assassination Attempt
American politics is now the most dangerous game there is, thanks to the spreading of vile, hateful, and evil invoking ideas.
Why it's happening isn't hard to understand, if you're paying attention.
Another shooting, another day of hate and division. Some might believe that's the goal. However, they'd be wrong. Because the reality is that it only divides those who are against violence and the solving of problems with a gun, from those who are pro-violence and in favor of such hateful acts aimed at those they disagree with.
And, whether you agree or disagree with the current administration's policies or practices, the fact is that, violence has no place in politics. It's a harsh world, and getting harsher, but violence in politics shouldn't be the answer to your unhappiness.
As social media buzzes with a million random thoughts and theories about the recent attempt that appears aimed at the assassination of President Donald J. Trump, take a look at the vile, disgusting, and frankly, paranoid delusions of the people spreading it around. Then, you might want to consider taking a look at the source. Because the sources aren't that reliable when it comes to social media.
Anyway you look at it, it's meant to spread hate in America. Which means, if you're an intelligent person, and have been paying attention, a certain amount of that spreading of hate and division is coming from outside of the United States. That's right, non-American entities are dividing the United States. And, what's worse, is that some of the people in this country are going to ignore that fact. As they do with other facts.
So, is it a non-American entity, spreading falsehoods, or is it because of the violent rhetoric such as calling Trump a NAZI, the violence on the streets because of sanctuary policies, the violent rhetoric of governors in blue states, or the boisterousness of liberals on the internet. Look at recent events. One things becomes clear, there's a type that doesn't like freedom of speech or conservative policies, and it's on the left side of the extreme.
Recent Assassination Attempts
Start with Tyler James Robinson, who said he killed Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, for spreading hate.
Robinson's understanding of hate turned dark, when he fired a shot that killed Charlie Kirk. And for what?
Kirk preached about his faith, his beliefs, and his political opinions about what was best for America. Not all of what Kirk had to say was the most popular, but did it warrant shooting him.
According to an ABC News report, Tyler Robinson was in a relationship with a young man who was transitioning. This wasn't something that Charlie Kirk would have agreed with. There is a significant number of people that believe the gender dysphoria involved in these decisions is a mental health disorder.
The liberal minded Robinson could have decided to let Kirk have his opinion, but instead, he took a rifle and positioned himself in a way to make the shot that ended Kirk's life.
What other people are targeted by the liberal minded of the left side of the population? It's interesting to note.
President Trump has had not one, but multiple apparent assassination attempts against him. And in each, the person's committing the acts, were liberals or democrats. The most recent one at the Whitehouse Correspondence Dinner, was done by a teacher from California, and someone who had donated to Trump's opponent. While that isn't absolutely conclusive, it's easy to see that he likely was a democrat as he donated to Kamala Harris.
Despite the popular claims that many of the most notable assassins or attempted assassins are democrats, some weren't tied to any party affiliation at all. Look at John Hinkley Jr. John Hinkley Jr. attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan. However, his assassination attempt was driven by something other than political ideology.
Hinkley Jr. was trying to impress actress Jodie Foster (Silence of the Lambs), when he caught up with Ronald Reagans detail outside the Hilton Hotel. His obsession, along with mental health issues, drove him to an unthinkable act, but it wasn't because Reagan was a conservative, or against big government, or any other political ideology.
Takeaways
With the recent resurgence in assassination attempts, in an already violent world, what's the answer?
It would seem that the vile rhetoric being spread by politicians should be toned down.
Just days ago, Democratic Congressman, Hakeem Jeffries, made a speech. In one of his many, he called to fight the Trump administration, "In the streets." That, along with many other invoking names that they've used against the politicians who disagree with them, is a form of violent rhetoric.
Be honest with yourself, what does a fight in the streets invoke in your mind. It brings to mind a picture of these suited, rich, dishonest politicians, throwing down in the street somewhere.
We should, as Joe Biden said during the summer of 2024, tone down the political rhetoric. Invoking word like fight, foots soldiers, and other things that bring to mind the most dark evils in human history, shouldn't be a part of our political machine, even if they are hyperbole.
Why? Because there are too many untreated, unadjusted, unstable, and to put it frankly, sick and disturbed people listening. And it's all over social media, every day of the week. And, our politicians, and the governments of places like IRAN, China, Russia, and North Korea, all know that American's are overly dependent upon social media for their information.
Until the rhetoric is toned down, particularly by the left as they are the most assertive with vile rhetoric and disturbingly innaccurate information spreading, this type of environment isn't going to improve. And that....well, in America, that is sad.
