In The End, Bitcoin Wins

In The End, Bitcoin Wins

By Roberto Alago

Cryptocurrency are reproducing like rats. There seems to be a new one popping up, like a gopher, almost every week. With so many options, How can Bitcoin beat the competition?

As of the time I'm writing this, Bitcoin controls over 69% of the market share. with its nearest competitor; Ethereum controlling 19%. That leaves only 12% for all others.

Being first has its advantages. Bitcoin, was not only the first created but it was also the first in use. That is were the power of Bitcoin lies.

Being the first, Bitcoin has been extensively researched by government regulators, banks and all types of businesses; large and small. They have learn to trust it. Not only that but, normal, average people are using Bitcoins to purchase all kinds of goods.

You can go to any city and find hundreds of locations were Bitcoins are actually being accepted for payment. Thousands of users in every city of almost every country are using Bitcoins to purchase anything from breakfast to cars, household goods, clothing and even real estate.

Service providers like Barbers, Beauticians, Cleaning, Dentists, Garbage Collectors, Instructors, Mechanics, Physicians, Taxi, Translators, Tutors, etc., etc., etc., are trusting Bitcoin to secure the transaction.

While most Cryptocurrency has been created as speculation instruments, Bitcoin and its closes competitors are actually tools of commerce; real currency.

The speculative instruments will soon fall by the wayside and make room for the real deal. People will soon realize the power and diversity of Bitcoin and they will move from the speculation tools to the real workhorse of the Crypto garage.

There is nothing wrong with speculating. The problem comes, when the currency is only used as an investment tool and be allowed to do what it was designed to do.

Hoarding currency; Crypto, Fiat, Metal, Bonds, etc. creates inflation. In the case of Bitcoin, because it is in actual use, the price will eventually plateau. The other, lesser known Cryptocurrency will not fair the same. In fact, their price will get so ridiculously high, that no one will want to buy them and the hoarders will be forced to sell at a loss or risk keeping a worthless wallet.

Wile most Cryptocurrency is being generated, sold, bought and hoarded, Bitcoin continues to be accepted and used by more and more consumers and retailers on a daily basis, thus, in essence becoming the new standard.

Once Bitcoin becomes the new standard, its real power will be unleashed. Industries will be born, commerce will become a truly international endeavor. Small producers will be able to sell directly to consumers at great discounts.

Manufacturers and distributors will feel comfortable selling across border lines knowing their payment is secured by Bitcoin.

The global village is here. It is up to us all to unleash it and let it loose so, all mankind can benefit, not just a few. Do other wise and your hoarded asset becomes a worthless encryption sequence in a worthless block in a very long chain.

In the end Bitcoin wins. Let it do what Satoshi Nakamoto envisioned and the whole world will reap the benefits. Hoard it, lock it up, detain it and the world will be thrown into chaos.

To Satoshi, it was all the same. You see... Bitcoin was his way of testing humanity. If mankind can cooperate, Bitcoin will be a great facilitator. If mankind continues to act selfishly, Bitcoin will crush humanity.

Bitcoin was released and is here until the end. There is no turning back. Embrace it or be crushed. Your choice.
