The Avalanche blockchain's creator, Ava Labs, recently declared the availability of Core Mobile, a portable version of their non-custodial multichain wallet.

Core Mobile intends to link DeFi, NFT, and gaming ecosystems across the Avalanche, Bitcoin, and Ethereum networks, as well as other EVM-compatible blockchains. It will debut on Android first, with compatibility for iOS coming in 2023. [1]

Ava Labs stated in a press statement shared with Decrypt that this update allows customers three ways to use Core: browser extension, online, and mobile, providing a linked Web3 experience.

According to Ava Labs Head of Product Nick Mussallem, "Core mobile is designed to give people maximum control over their crypto, while ensuring the product is intuitive enough for anyone to use Web3." "Mass adoption is on the horizon, and Core will be the entry point for people looking for a single platform that can handle everything without the hassle of using multiple wallets," said the author. One Crypto App to Rule... It's Own

The Core wallet, which was first made available in June of this year, had native Avalanche bridging capabilities that allowed users to communicate with decentralized apps (dApps) running on the Avalanche network.

Users had to utilize rival technologies like MetaMask to use an Ethereum-Avalanche bridge in the past if they wished to transfer their assets to the Avalanche network.

Other features that distinguish Core wallet from rivals include the simplicity with which Avalanche, Bitcoin, and Ethereum assets can be swapped, the ability to send Bitcoin and Ethereum to take part in Avalanche DeFi dApps, and the ability to track real-time asset price changes in a single watchlist.

According to Mussallem, who spoke with Decrypt, "this means users can manage all of their major assets and apps in a single platform." [1]

With preloaded subnets—a collection of sovereign networks that enable individual projects to establish their own token economics and rules while remaining connected to the Avalanche mainnet via individual chains and occupying no space on the mainnet—Core wallet also enables users to quickly join the Avalanche ecosystem.

Subnets may enable Avalanche to prevent transaction speed and gas charge difficulties as the network grows in large by spreading traffic in this manner.

According to Mussallem, future developer plans include, "cross platform sync and many other capabilities to unify experience across browser, web, and mobile."
