We've all been there, lured by the siren call of Instagram adverts only to regret our purchases when the products turn up. It can be so hard to know what to trust, and no one wants to be awaiting a “PayPal” review just to get a refund from a scam company. So I’ve taken the risk for you, and found “Dixi” – wonderful, trustworthy, and great value for money. So good that I may have gone back and purchased half their sale items!

Dixi is an alternative jewellery shop, specialising in Bohemian and nature inspired jewellery, as well as Pagan home décor. From feather rings, to thorned head dresses to magic wands, you can unleash your inner elven princess as you explore their magical collection. Each piece is hand crafted by a small, dedicated team, giving an excellent finish and great quality. From resin pieces to cubic zirconia, and gold plated to Stirling silver, there is a collection to suit all budgets.

Dixi also have regular sales to make room for their new stock, so if like me you have expensive taste but an empty bank account, you can still treat yourself to something special from their “top shelf” collection at a fraction of the price if you’re prepared to wait a few weeks.

The designs are made in a limited range, and constantly changing, meaning that what you have is truly unique – and even better, you can keep coming back for more! Dixi is my guilty pleasure each payday, and I have never been disappointed by their products. This review might sound too good to be true, but I’m not on commission – I’m just a huge fan and cannot rate them enough.

Skadi Goddess of Winter Thorn Head Crown (Amber)

As pictured on the top of this review, this is what tempted me to make my first purchase with Dixi. There are many pagan and elven jewellery shops but I had not seen anything similar to this head piece before – not at this price! When I took the plunge, I was not disappointed.

Exactly as shown in the picture, the piece had a nice weight to it, and felt sturdy without being too heavy. The metal had a nice shine to it despite being matt, and the amber centre was eye catching. I truly felt like a princess with my crown and relished in the fact that no one else had something so unique. I was lucky enough to buy mine in the sale, so keep a look out for their next one if like me you fell in love at first sight with it.

Not only was I satisfied with my purchase, but I was impressed with the time and effort taken to package the piece. I open the box to the perfumed fragrance of lavender and lemongrass. A beautiful dried yellow rose accompanied a orange blossom wax melt, along with a beautifully drawn image of a fox on a handwritten note from the sellers. I felt like I had received a book of spells, or a parcel from a mysterious lover – it made me feel special. The beautifully written letter personally thanked me for supporting smaller businesses, detailed the names of the jewellers who had crafted my item, and even offered help and support to anyone struggling through the pandemic. I was very touched.

Dixi has everything you could want, jewellery that makes you feel like a goddess, wrapped with care to make even a dull Tuesday feel like a special day when your parcel arrives, and caring people behind the company that look out for their customers.
