My SECRET WEAPON at the Thrift Store
Once upon a time, a nuclear reactor broke down. The technicians had worked and worked to repair but finally called in an outside expert. The expert walked around the reactor, focused on a spot and, gave the reactor one swift kick. It started up, whirring and purring like normal. When the bill arrived, the technicians were shocked. It was for $15,000! The Head Tech phoned the expert and demanded an explanation. "All you did was kick it", he exclaimed. Slowly and confidently, the expert responded, "Ah, but you have to know WHERE to kick it!" The bill was paid promptly.

Thrifting isn’t something I do because it saves money, you can find cool and vintage items. I do it because it’s engraved in my DNA. The thrill of shopping in thrift stores is the search and THEN the find. In today’s society, it’s easy to search the internet and immediately find what you’re looking for. When you thrift and you find not only what you were looking for, you just know it was made for you. It was meant to be, if you will. This has happened to me countless times (not to be confused with every time I go about thrift shopping), and this is about the most recent time.

Once upon a time, a little girl walked through a battered metal archway into a world of possibilities. My first visit to a thrift store was a new kind of thrill. A treasure trove awaited me, filled with items even I could afford on my meagre allowance. For the price of a handful of candy, I could snag a fancy purse or choose my own new clothes. I was enthralled by the magic of that secondhand paradise.

"Let's go "shoppin'", Thomas," said my grandpa, sometime back in the 80s. Grandpa was in his 70s at the time, so he needed a bit of help with the "shoppin'" he had in mind, as I was soon to discover. Next door to his business was a thrift store. Grandpa shopped in the dumpster out back for dress shoes which fit his size 11 EE feet perfectly, 1950s era stainless steel Sunbeam toasters that just needed a new cord and a bit of cleaning to make the most perfectly browned toast you've ever seen and other similar goodies. "One man's trash is another man's treasure, ain't that right, Thomas?" I nodded. "They're getting downright stingy over here, these days, not like they used to be, wha?" I'd never been over here before, so I couldn't judge, but we only found one item in need of a new cord that day. Apparently, though, that was stingy of the thrift store's owners in comparison to former times in the past year or two.

First thing first, so please allow and read forward with the knowledge that religion does not set a boundary in the life, mind, spirit or friendships on the path that thy two feet walk. I respect every and all believes of others and continue to keep an open mind and heart because " all are teachers, student thy am". I choose to be a 'bridge', to bring other's together and create a bigger space for us to live and roam in harmony.

THRIFT Shops, Bargain Basements, Estate Sales, Antique Auctions and your very basic Dumpster Diving! Thrift Shoppers around the world love to and have been finding stuff or what we like to call treasures since the beginning of time. No matter what we do it for : the love of the hunt, uncovering treasures of a time gone by, a good sale ,or just the pure nostalgia of finding that same coffee table that use to sit in grandma’s house. We as humans have loved everything “treasure or unpolished jewels”. What ever the drive, people have been thrifting, bargaining and “upcycling” things for numerous reasons throughout human history. So what’s the buzz with this anyways? Simply put, it’s a TON of fun! This article will go through a few reasons to why I thrift shop and how it has lead me on a path of sustainable and mindful living and … of course, pictures of some of my favorite finds over the years!
I Thrifted The Thrift Store Queen
The art of thrifting is something that my older sister has spent the past decade trying to perfect. She knows where to look, when to look, and most importantly WHAT to look for.

Above me hangs a square sign in its tarnished white and star-printed glory. Rusted bikes, Fisher-Price kitchen playsets, and dated plastic picnic chairs sit in front of the glass doors on the sidewalk. What will I discover today? I push the heavy metal handle and walk inside, hearing the hustle and bustle of some of the most unique shoppers around. A garbage pit to some, this is my tshatshke goldmine; my penny-pincher Olympics. This is my favorite gem, the Red White and Blue Thrift Store.
Natalie BradenPublished 3 years ago in Styled5 Cheap Swiss Watch Brands with the same quality as high-end Swiss Watch Brands.
Swiss watches have been known to be the best of the best, judging from the quality, movement, and uniqueness of these watches, hence the hefty price often put on them. I am not saying that it’s wrong or unfair for these companies, such as Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Phillipe to raise their prices like that, they deserve it, and they have to because of the feeling you get from a $20000 watch and a $200 watch is different, but not everyone can afford to lease or own a $20000 watch. Besides these extremely expensive swiss watch brands, there are also swiss watch brands that offer the same quality and for a relatively cheap price, and these are 5 swiss watch brands that are affordable, but still retain quality.

I was so bored. Other than staying at home confined to my corner working as a Virtual Assistant, I wanted to find something else that I can do aside from watching TV or listening to my Google home assistant talk to me about things he has told me randomly throughout the day.
Vintage Fashion
I used to not have the greatest sense in fashion. Being that I was the third child born in a six child household, most of my clothes were hand-me-downs. I would dress in boot cut Old Navy jeans, and a shirt from Children's Place. It was this way up until I got a job, and created my Instagram account. The doors to a whole world of fashion opened up to me.
