An Unexpected Journey to Nail Art

I was so bored. Other than staying at home confined to my corner working as a Virtual Assistant, I wanted to find something else that I can do aside from watching TV or listening to my Google home assistant talk to me about things he has told me randomly throughout the day.

I received a $20 Amazon gift card from work for being an awesome employee. It made me browse through Amazon with things that I can buy. I wanted something fun, something that I can be proud to buy as I attain a new life skill.

Just as I was starting to log back in to work, I was sort of filing my nails just so it is not too long and distracting while I type and write confirmation of shifts. While doing that, an idea of nail art sparked in my mind! I do not really go out specially during this pandemic, but I thought that it would still be cute and cool to learn how to make my nails pretty while I work from home.

The very first set that caught my eye was the Nail Brush art set that includes lots of jewels and pretty metallic strips. The price was $13.99 so I added it to my cart right away. Then I found this set of 26 Reusable Spill Proof Skin protectors for $7.99.

I was browsing through my Amazon account a little more and clicked on NEXT one after the other. I found other things that I wanted to buy but I only have a $20 gift card so I have to pick only one or two to add into my Amazon cart.

As I scroll through a little more, I found that I can apply for the Prime Store and Credit card, and if approved, Amazon will reward me $160 total in gift card credit that I can use towards other things I would like to buy but does not fit the current budget.

I have a pretty awesome credit so why noy try, I thought to myself.

After I indicated my information and a few more clicks, I was approved for both giving me extra $160 that I can use towards all of the other things that I wanted to buy.

I found a Nail Dryer UV Curing lamp for only $9.99 and clicked ADD TO CART

Browsed and scrolled through a little and found an pair of Base and Top Coat Gel Nail Polish Set for $5.99

After a few more clicks, I found several nail stickers that I wanted to buy for me and several of my gal pals all for $4.49 each. I got 7 different designs dedicated to seven different sports teams. I also realized that I am almost running out of nail polish remover, so I got myself a new bottle for $1.97.

I also realized that I need a white nail polish as the back coating for my sports inspired nail stickers so I got myself a White ColorStay Polish for $4.78 I also added to cart a box of 15 Metallic Nail Polish Set for $19.89. This set of 15 nail polishes looked really nice for the spring and it will look cool with the nail jewels from the very first set.

I scrolled through a little more and added to cart a sticker version of the spill proof version of the nail protector for just $3.24, then Portable Electric Nail Drill for $15.99 with a complete set of all the studs needed to make my nail shiny and perfect.

I could not stop browsing for other things to buy. Everytime I add something to my Amazon cart, new things keep on popping that totally caught my interest with this unexpected journey to nail art design.

I found three last things that I could buy with my available Amazon funds. I added to cart Nail Rhinestone Glue for $6.99, Latex Nail Polish Barrier for $8.99 and Nail Stamper Set $5.99.

At the end of it, I ended up with about $138 worth of nail art designing tools and tax was included after the fact. I signed up for the Prime membership too, in which the $12.99 I have paid beforehand was subsidized back into my account after my approval. I saved around $68 just from shipping and handling.

Right now, I am totally enjoying my new found hobby of designing my nails with different art tools. I made a point that my nails look different every week so that I can try on all of the tools I have added to my Amazon cart and shipped to my little corner of the world!
