How Shopping In Your Closet Saves You Money

Oh oh. It is that time of year when you need to go shopping for clothes; But unfortunately, you don't want to spend a ton of money on a new wardrobe. Consider the following: In "Pirates of the Caribbean," Captain Jack Sparrow battles ghosts and the British Army to capture the hidden treasure in the cave. While most of us want the treasure, we really don't want to resort to swordsmanship on it. So before you go out to fight in the malls, you should think about this. Your cave (aka closet) probably already has some hidden treasures.
Instead of fighting for your treasures, you just have to search for them. And you can save a ton of money at the same time. Instead of automatically going shopping for new clothes at the beginning of this season, you can uncover hidden gems by creating new combinations from what you already own. Instead of always wearing the same white blouse with the same black jacket, pants, and shoes, spend a few hours on a weekend afternoon trying on clothes in new ways and create a little pizzazz.
Start with a KEY piece: pants or a skirt (the workhorses of your wardrobe), and find all the possible tops to match. To experience! Try unusual color combinations or styles. Assemble your clothes in a way you've never considered before. Have fun with this! Add a jacket or sweater to every outfit, in case you need one for a more professional look or to cope with the weather. shopping outfit
A basic pair of pretty pants or a basic skirt can be the basis for various outfits when paired with different shirts, blouses, jackets, and sweaters. (In fact, I often do a demo where 9 pieces of clothing can be combined into 63 different outfits.)
Then, hold up accessory packs (i.e. shoes, belt, purse, jewelry, etc.) that harmonize with each other and see if they work with each outfit too. A unique piece of jewelry, a beautiful scarf, or an eye-catching pair of shoes can add flair to your basic clothing.
Then write down all the pieces to complete each outfit (or photograph it) so you will remember how to put it together. Otherwise, you'll be fighting your closet every morning trying to remember what happened to what.
