Oh, what fun! You get to rewatch all of your favorite TV shows and movies! Get ready to dive into a time capsule!

Crazy Hair Accessories

Do you remember the Spice Girls? Superstar Victoria Beckham used to be a part of the group. Today she is seen as an elegant businesswoman, but she and the group were all about that wild look, although she was even back in the day called Posh Spice. Every member of the group had a particular look according to their character including special hairstyles spiced up with some fun hair accessories.

Bratz Dolls were all the rage at the beginning of the 2000s. Every girl had to have at least one Bratz Doll. Barbie was becoming boring, and here came these edgy-looking dolls who had a passion for fashion. Usually the box included a lot of hair accessories made especially for them. But the makers of the doll captured the spirit of this time so good that if you manage to find your Chloe or Jasmine somewhere, you’ll see all those sweet bobby pins, scrunchies, colorful hair clips, bandos, and hairbands. So don’t be afraid to experiment with colorful accessories the more the merrier!

Denim

The first thing that pops up in anyone's mind on the thought of denim are Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake dressed in all denim at the 2001 American Music Awards. Simply iconic!

But there are a few essential pieces you mustn't miss if you want to achieve the late 90’s early 2000’s look.

  • Mom jeans
    • These are super comfortable, and loved by so many. The higher the better! They nicely cover everything up, and you won’t have to worry when you want to pick something up from the floor!
  • Denim Skirt
    • Same goes as mom jeans, the higher the better! The ones with the buttons in front are particularly cute, and they're the essence of this look.
  • Jean Jacket
    • Not only are they super cool, but they also keep you warm in that summer breeze. Add to them a few patches of bands or flowers, and you’re good to go!
  • Overalls
    • Throw your most authentic pink baby tee underneath a pair of overalls, and you’ll get that cute childhood look!

Leopard Print

There is no better way to show your wild side than to wear an edgy leopard print! This look is considered to be rather exotic, and in the old times was a sign of wealth. Animal print was worn by aristocrats to show how rich and powerful they were.

But today we like it because it’s super fun, and can add an edge to a certain look. You can choose from leopard platform shoes, bike shorts, tank tops, velvet mock-neck tops… Whatever you choose you can style it with some mom jeans, denim skirts, or for the ultimate edgy look, find a leopard printed slip dress, over that put on yourself a Champion hoodie, Dr. Martens, and tiny cat-eye glasses, and you’re ready to go!

Tiny Glasses

Somewhere around 2016, the sunglasses got so big they didn’t have any other option, but to become extremely tiny. Thanks to the ‘90s and the early 2000s, fashion designers remembered to bring this back in style. On the street, you can see people channeling their inner Neo from The Matrix with tiny oval sunglasses, or just being eccentric with tinted oval sunglasses, or rectangle glasses. Cat-eye sunglasses seem to be the favorite pick of Gigi and Bella Hadid for this spring/summer time.

Slip Dress

This look was super trendy at the time. It was as part of the underwear-as-outerwear trend. These dresses were mostly made from layered chiffon, polyester satins, and charmeuse. The slip dress looks like an undergarment, but the intention is to offer glimpses of the body beneath. Subtle and sexy.

You can mix up your slip dress with a cute graphic tee beneath, or go for the classic, white T-shirt black slip dress look that screams the ‘90s are here.' This look is really girly and fun, so don’t be afraid to make some braids, and tie them up with some colorful scrunchies, or put heart shaped tiny glasses.
