Black Friday is a traditional November sale that inspires both excitement and terror among many people. Delight - how many appealing and desirable things may be made accessible at steep prices... And panic - from the need to buy everything, not forget anything, and not be left with empty pockets at the end of the day. This is how you do it!

What should I do?

One of the most common faults in Black Friday shopping behaviour is the frenzied rushing around the sites, the feverish investigation of the available discounts, and the frantic attempts to put everything that is most appealing and accessible into baskets.

This strategy has three major drawbacks:

  • hurried browsing and comparing final pricing at multiple sites takes a lot of time and effort; • the most favorable deals "fly away" first, and there is a danger of simply not being able to finish the purchase in time; and
  • Pursuing enormous discounts might lead to impulsive buying of utterly needless products.
  • What can you do to avoid this? First and foremost, plan ahead of time for Black Friday. Use the long November holidays and our easy instructions:

  1. Walk around the house, go over the contents of the closets and make complete lists of what you need to buy.
  2. Divide what is written into 2 categories: "Necessary" (things that you need to buy in the near future anyway) and "Desirable" (goods that you would like to buy - but for now you can do without them).
  3. Then go to those online sites where you usually order the products on the list and put them in the basket in advance. Items from the "necessary" category can be added on all sites where they are available.
  4. As soon as Black Friday officially kicks off - go to these sites and update your shopping cart. You will immediately see what discounts are available for each product, where it is more profitable to buy it, and whether it is worth buying at all.
  5. As a rule, items from the "Necessary" category are worth buying, even if they have a small discount. But things from the “Desirable” category are better to buy only if the discount is significant.

This approach takes less time and effort, and also avoids unnecessary and spontaneous purchases, hectic surfing and attempts to grab a long-awaited dream by the discount tail.
