Cats are adorable pets and our faithful feline friends . Cats have unique kind of cuteness which compels us to be attracted to them. Cats were kept as pets by humans thousands of years ago and ever since they live with us and are inseparable.

Cats are not only exceptionally friendly but they can also help us to keep our houses clean, they also control pests and keep your home disease-free. Because of this, cats have a significant place in our lives and are found in millions of homes around the world.

Here we are going to take a look at some of the the reasons why we find cats cute and adorable pets .

1- Their Appearance Unconsciously Appeals To Us

Cats are cute because of their large almond-shaped eyes, the variety of fur colors, their small noses and paws and the adorable and funny things they do that make them beautiful and irresistible.

Their Snub face, high and round forehead, rounded ears , and soft body shape are the physical features which make them breathtakingly beautiful .

2- They Own You

You think that you own your cat, but to be true , it is just the opposite . They manipulate you into doing what they want, every single time, and we absolutely love them for it.

If your cat is rubbing against your legs in front of other people, keep in mind that it is not a sign of affection. Rather it's the cat's way of showing to other human beings that they own you!

3- They Can Look After Themselves

The beauty of a cat is that they t virtually need no grooming . You do not have to clean up them as every time you pet and play with your cat, she will sit in a corner and get into a self-grooming session. They may even spend an entire hour licking every inch of their body. How cute is that? No expenses on shampoos and trips to the vet! It almost looks like they're trying to tell you to get your dirty hands off them .

4- They Are Good At Manipulating

Many cats make an adorable chirping noise when they’re asking for something . Cats use this noise when they’re requesting food, attention, or something else that only their owners can understand.

A cat’s solicitation purr has a frequency of around 220-520 Hertz (Hz). This frequency range matches the sound of a human baby crying, which is 300-600 Hz. So, when we hear a cat meowing in a similar frequency range, we can not refuse them!

5- They Love to Sleep

Cats sleep when they want, where they want and that is an undeniable fact. They sleep, if they are happy or bored .They sleep if they find no one to play with . This wonderful behavior makes them super cute.

6- They Prefer To Live Independently

By Andriyko Podilnyk on Unsplash

You can not get a cat to do something it doesn’t want to? It is absolutely impossible, as they will only do what they want . If they want to play, then you have no other way except obliging to them . Contrary to this , if you are in a mood of playing with your cat then she will never agree . She will do every thing on its own terms. Humans having such personality trait are considered narcissist , but we find it loveable in cats .

7- They Reduce Stress And Anxiety

By Jari Hytönen on Unsplash

When the human brain recognizes “cuteness” , it responds in two different ways . The orbitofrontal cortex (the part of the brain that plays role in decision making) is activated and inform you to protect the cute creature. The nucleus accumbens ( “pleasure center” of brain ) releases dopamine which makes us feel happy as a reward .

In other words, when your cat does something extra-cute, your brain at once tells you to protect it and rewards you for doing so.

As we care for our cats, our bodies respond with dopamine, which releases stress , improves our mood , making us feel happier than before.

Absolutely love this. I run a cat page so I know just how quirky their attitudes can be. Plus, we have a senior rescue cat who is either a ball of attention or a dog swatting rug. Here's is a little story you mind find funny in your spare time. https://vocal.media/poets/jingelo-grum
