The king of the jungle is known to us humans as a type of animal that we must so desperately keep at a long distance from us, or keep in a cage. Lion trainers, tamers and owners may have an upper hand when it comes to petting a lion, but they too must be extremely careful.
Lions are quite unpredictable when it comes to an attack. One minute they can be as friendly as a mouse, and the next as ferocious as a…well, lion. The outcome of a lion attacking us can be a quite frightening experience. We do not want to be a victim of such excitement of pain, as hospital visits and even death can result.
However, some people care less about the horrific norms of making contact with a lion and unfortunately they get a rude awakening. They see or hear about lion attacks and think they are exempt from one themselves, but sadly they find out the hard way that they aren’t. Below are videos of people petting a lion and facing pretty ugly consequences for doing so.
In this video, a man pets a lion on the head, and the lion dislikes it, clamping down on the man’s hand with his jaws. The man managed to get his hand out of the mouth of the lion, but oh boy! I’ll bet the man won’t try to pet a lion ever again.
In the next video, the man pets the lion on his back, slightly, being quite careful, as most of us should be when petting a lion. Just as expected, the lion didn’t approve of the man touching his back, and so he let the man know it by roaring and quickly moving towards the man as if he was in the process of attacking. If the man hadn’t been sitting inside of a vehicle at the time, I’m certain that the lion would’ve made a meal out of the man.
In this video, an elderly man pets two lions, but one of them wasn’t as friendly as the other one. You’ll see the lion bite down on the man’s arm, while the camera woman yells, “He’s biting him, he’s biting him!”
In this video, the lion was just playing, but first grabbed a hold of the man’s shirt with his teeth and wouldn’t let go, taking the man in circles. Once the lion let go of the man’s shirt, he then goes for the man’s leg, leaving a pretty nasty wound afterwards.
In this video, it isn’t 100% clear that the man was trying to pet the lion, but how did his arm get inside of the cage? So, we’ll just say that the man tried to pet the lion, and paid the price.
As you could see, lions are quite ferocious, as we should already know. The moment we think that it’s a good idea to pet one, we should definitely reconsider. Well, why would anyone think about petting a lion anyways? Maybe to show that you aren’t afraid. Or, perhaps doing it for attention. Well, these guys definitely got some attention. In each one of these videos, you could see that the lions appeared to be friendly, and then surprise! “I’m going to sink my teeth into your skin” ! Lions are meant to be in the wild, what else would you expect?

Welcome back, viewers. Many of you have inquired about a video on identifying the king cobra and monocled cobra in Vietnamese. While we commonly refer to both as "cobra," it's important to note that only the king cobra belongs to the Naja genus, unlike the monocled cobra. In today's video, we will demonstrate how to differentiate between these two snakes using live specimens. One monocled cobra from my farm, accompanied by all necessary legal documentation, and one king cobra, which will be released into a nature reserve. Despite being contained in bags, these snakes exhibit an ability to sense their surroundings. I may consider an interview with a snakebite victim who was envenomated through a similar bag in a future video. The primary focus today is to clarify the distinctions between the two species, as there seems to be confusion among many. The king cobra featured in today's video will be reintroduced to its natural habitat tomorrow. This particular individual weighs approximately 5kg and is notably large. Let's proceed to examine the snakes. The key identifying features of the monocled cobra include its rounded hood, which can expand, and a length of around 1.4 - 1.5m. In contrast, the king cobra can reach lengths of up to 4m and displays a more substantial build indicative of peak physical condition. While the monocled cobra may spit venom, the king cobra tends to be less dramatic when domesticated. Identifying markings, such as the hood pattern, vary among individuals and species. Generally, king cobras exhibit distinct banding and arrow markings on their hoods. Size and weight also serve as distinguishing factors, with the king cobra being larger, heavier, and longer than the monocled cobra. Special attention must be paid to handling these snakes, as their venom can be lethal. Avoiding contact with the eyes is crucial due to the sensitivity of ocular tissues. The king cobra, known for its agility and predatory nature, represents a pinnacle predator in its habitat. Handling such a snake requires utmost caution and expertise, as demonstrated in this video. The importance of respecting these creatures and their habitats cannot be understated.
