It is important to note that this list is a generalization and not every dog in these 16 breeds will be as loyal. As with anything else, there are always exceptions to the rule.

Like many herd dogs, the Great Pyrenean Dog is a loyal guardian with a protective instinct and above-average devotion. This breed, as well as the Hungarian Kuvasz with which it is related, are some of the most majestic and imposing animals.
They are also calm, patient, intelligent, and extremely loyal. The Great Pyrenean dog requires a lot of early training and continuous exercise and mental stimulation - the same is true for Kuvasz, so it is advisable to start when they are puppies.
2. Collie
Besides being one of the happiest and most affectionate, the Collie is also one of the most devoted breeds. Not in vain the famous and beloved, for generations of people, Lassie was a Collie!
People associate the character with the race so much that in many people's minds it is Lassie and not Collie.

And that's especially because it can make a clear difference between their own and strangers, being reserved with the latter and extremely affectionate with their people. It's no surprise to see the German Shepherd on this list. German Shepherds are loyal to their pack and are so smart that they are one of the busiest breeds in the world, especially in the police!

This imposing breed of dog is called "extremely loyal" by canine associations around the world. These large, fluffy dogs of Japanese origin are always alert and brave, but also affectionate and patient with children. They certainly need a lot of early socialization. 7. Labrador Retriever
This list would not be complete without this family dog that we all appreciate and love. Whatever it is, if it were to be lost, a Labrador retriever will instinctively know the way back to you, his man. These dogs, sociable and hardworking, love their people to the point where they would be able to stay non-stop in their souls.

Boxers are very attentive and active, which makes them excellent guards for guarding. They are slightly agitated by strangers who are crazy enough to notice this loving but vigilant race.
10. Dachshund
Although they are small dogs, these big souls with long bodies are very protective of their pack/family. There are many stories about Dachshund rescuing his family from house fires and even bear attacks. They are agile and have an excellent hunting instinct.

Six Feet Under
Buried alive. What a horrible way to go. Yazz lay there, in her own thoughts. What else could she do? She was hungry, thirsty, tired, mentally, and physically exhausted, and more than anything, she was bored. She hoped she would die of boredom before anything else, anything else would've been more painful. Like many people had, she and her friends had talked about what they reckon the worst ways to die were, it was a morbid subject, but it came up every now and again. Yazz had always been one to argue her point on drowning, others had mentioned burning alive, slowly and painfully bleeding to death, hung drawn and quartered, and being starved to death. It was strange that none of them had considered being buried alive, it had never come up. But now, she was thinking back to those conversations her and her friends had had, how could they have not thought about it? It took a lot longer than the others, you were completely confined, you couldn't move or do anything, you just had to wait, until your body was physically unable to support a life system anymore, which could take up to four days. Four! By far the longest out of all of them. She recounted some of these conversations just to try and pass the time, anything to pass the time. It was difficult to know how much time had passed since she had been underground, it was difficult to know anything. There were many things that Yazz didn't know, she didn't know where she was, she didn't know how she'd got into the coffin, she'd just woken up there. Yazz also didn't know what time it was, or even what day it was, she guessed at Tuesday, it was Sunday evening when she'd been buried alive, intentionally, and although it had felt like weeks had passed, she was still alive, which means she hadn't died from dehydration, and therefore it couldn't have been more than four days.
