cat
It's been said that people that hate cats will come back as mice in their next life.
Do As I Say, Or There'll Be A Sh*t Kickin'!
We'd been looking for a second cat to add to the family for several months when an ad popped up on Kijiji, a local buy-and-sell site. A nearby family had a 15-week-old kitten to give away.
White Socked Angel
Castiel. I remember the first day I got him, my best friend's cat just had a litter of 6, and there I saw the tiniest of them, grey with the cutest little white socks (aka his perfect white paws) and I fell absolutely head over heels in love with him. When I brought him home he cried a lot, I did everything I could to make him comfortable, I made him a little bed in my chair and put it right next to my bed so he would never be alone, and still he cried. I bottle fed him, gave him wet food a little at a time, and still he cried. It wasn't until the 5th night, I lay asleep but I suddenly stirred awake, I didn't hear his small cries and became concerned, but before I could sit up, I felt his small paws making his way from my stomach to the nap between my neck and shoulder. He curled himself into a little ball there and fell fast asleep, I soon fell back to sleep to the sound of his precious snores.

In April 2019, a sweet, grey female cat started hanging out on our patio and in my garden. My two cats were mixed about the stranger, with Loki, my oldest, interested in this new cat and DiNozzo, my rescued black cat, unhappy that there was an invader. Our dog, Misha, a 45-pound Border Collie/Labrador mix, did not seem to care, aside from the excitement it created in the cats.

I know I’ve written about my pet cat, Paisley, before. I’d like to take some time to write about him again. With him, I honestly feel like it was a case of “who rescued who?” He rescued me as much as I rescued him.

Three and a half years ago, I wandered into a animal rescue shelter and left with this tiny six month old kitten. Totally unplanned but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

As a cat Mum of two, one of my favourite memories is from when my two furry angels, Peach and Grizabella, took it upon themselves and decided to join Abigail’s posse in the war on the world on Vocal.

Losing a pet is hard. The above photo displays my petting an orange Maine Coon. His name is Sammy, and he passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 30th, 2022 at the ripe old age of 20.

This story involves a cat using a litter box, with more detail than you probably care to know. Fair warning. Life with our furry friends is usually a fluffy, good time. Sometimes though, our favorite memories with our four-legged children involve getting through some tough times together. Having cats for most of my life, I'm very aware of what it means to have a pet in your arms while you're stressed out and crying. A lesson that came later, once I was living on my own as a single cat-mom, is that the little ones have problems too. My favorite memory with my girl, Lily, is a time when I could feel that she needed my support the same way a human child would.

I haven’t had a fur friend to call my own growing up. I do now, yes I finally caved and got myself not one but two kittens but this story isn’t about those two maniacs. This story goes back 5 years ago, when I started working at an animal hospital.

What is the difference between commercial and premium dog foods? The difference between commercial dog food and high quality dog foods is quite extensive however, there are easy methods that we as dog owners can take advantage of to ensure that we offer the best possible diet to our faithful companions.

Just like humans, dog's too need calcium in their diet, but what correct amount of calcium should a pet owner give? is there any danger in giving excess calcium? find out below.

A good dog food for your dog meets with a specific, high quality ingredient base that provides a high level of optimum nutrition for your pet. Dog food ingredients are selected based on their quality, and are human grade, meaning that they are also used for human consumption. Usually a greater price tag goes along with the purchase of premium dog food as the cost to find, evaluate and test a high quality ingredient can be more expensive, and because of this, some dog food manufacturers substitute quality for quantity and opt for the cheap alternative.
