Teacup Pomeranian is a tiny dog. It has several pros and cons, just like any other dog. There is nothing in this world that comes with pros only, and everything has cons as well. The purpose of reading pros and cons is to see whether you can adjust with this dog or not. Of course, pros make up your mind, and cons may change your decision about buying the dog. That's why I thought to share all the pros and cons of teacup Pomeranian that I've seen, so you can decide whether you should buy this dog or go for another one.

Pros

  • They are the tiniest dogs that grow 6 to 10 inches only and weigh 3 to 5 pounds. You can have great fun with this little fluffy dog. Their size is the reason that attracts many people towards them.
  • They have an appealing look. They have a fox-like face, prettiest smile, thick double coat, almond-shaped eyes, and a heavy plummed tail. They can easily get anyone's attention.
  • Even though they are small, but they contain all the characteristics of a large breed dog. Their ancestors weigh up to 30 pounds weight, and their characteristics can also be found in them.
  • It's really easy to maintain these dogs due to their tiny size. You can easily give them a bath, easily brush their hair. Even you don't have to spend a lot of money on the diet because they eat very little due to their small stomach.
  • You don't need to make much effort while making them exercise. A short walk and playing fetch in the house are enough for them.
  • They love spending time with adult people, that's why they can easily change your mood within few minutes.
  • Their senses are very acute. That's why they can easily observe and feel your anxiety or stress, and they will perform different stunts to change your mood.
  • They don't require too much space in your home; you can adjust them anywhere in your house, as they only are 6-10 inches. These little dogs are ideal for people with small houses.
  • They are very smart, that's why it is easy to train these dogs. It's better to train them in their early stages because they pick and learn commands easily in their early stages.
  • They have a really good lifespan. They can 13 to 15 years. Even it is seen in some cases that they have lived 20 years. Few dog breeds can live that much. That's why you can spend a lot of time with these dogs if you buy one of them.

Cons

  • Don't get deceived due to their tiny size. Even there are tiny, but they make so much noise. They bark too much that you can even get frustrated sometimes due to their insane barking. When they are happy, frustrated, angry, want food, or need your attention, they will start barking. Even if you don't get annoyed with their barking, your neighbors may get annoyed, and you will receive a complaint from them.
  • Anyone can easily steal them due to their small size. That's why you can't leave them alone outside.
  • They have a bossy nature. They don't care if they are small. They want dominance, which sometimes creates several problems.
  • They are moody. If they are happy, they will create very positive energy around you. If they are not in a mood, they may sit aside.
  • As they are moody, that's why they also want their separate home, where they can live according to their mood. You can buy a separate kennel for them, or you can create their house with a crate.
