Three baby ducks, is all it takes to send someone downhill. Three, yes, they are young and need to learn, but really to make the same mistake twice shame on you because three little ducks wonder the yard as their mother watched from a distance. Three baby ducks as happy as they can be. As they sing and run, hunting after a fly. They have all the food. All the water and get the big back yard to all of themselves.

Off course three baby ducks don’t know how lucky they are. Their like people really as we text about on our phones not at all paying attention to where we go. The three baby ducks chase the fly not seeing their mother was slowly starting to go out of sight. One little duck was having so much fun that he ended up in someone else yard.

This yard had two big dogs taller than any child and one lazy cat that really thought he was a lion. The one time the people we’re not there one duck had to end up in their yard. The little duck lost and alone, with no sisters or brothers beside them only made the little baby duck cry.

Mama duck heard this and rushed to the child age only to find out that this big green gate stood in her way.

The gate was too tall and she was far too big to fly since she was no wooden duck and if she did her other two babies would be left behind. The baby duck cried and cried as loud as they could. Mama duck cried for help, but all the other ducks and all the other hens didn’t care enough to listen.

Only their Auntie a duck raised by a human was worried, but much like mama duck she could not do much.

The baby duck left alone crying for help ended up getting the attention of someone else nearby.

Was it a dog?

Was it a cat?

Gee, we hope not or else the baby duck would become a play toy.

No, it was the human that looked after them heard their cries from all the way inside her house. She was with the parrot watching YouTube videos only to pause and turn to hear the sound. She shrugged her shoulders thinking it was nothing, but the crying got louder and louder. She paused the video once more, making sure her parrot was okay and rushing out of the house in a mad dash.

She saw the baby duck on the other side of the gate, but the gate was far too high for her to climb. She tried to knock on the door, but she only got the two big dogs that had been inside the house barking at her. No, cat in sight the dogs inside she rushed to the side gate where there had been holes big enough for the baby duck to slip out.

She needed the duck to see it’s mama and with quick thinking she herds the mama duck out of the yard and into the front. It didn’t take long before the baby duck saw the mama and ran towards her with joy.

Everything was okay in the end before the baby duck made the same mistake in the same morning. Don’t worry the plan worked again and now mama ducks knows not to let her babies near that area and the human who lives there has blocked the hole.
