After doing a lot of homework, we finally welcomed the newest member of the family ~ the husky. So what should the owner do to prepare for the Husky's first day at home? How do you house-train a Husky to make him a well-trained and lovable dog? What should be done to ensure the safety of the Husky? Take a look at the following article.

The First Day of Bringing Your Puppy Home

Before your Husky comes home with you, he will sleep with his mother or siblings, so for the first few nights, they will be lonely and scared. They may even cry.

The following suggestions may help.

Play the radio (in a safe place), a small comfortable cushion, or a safe toy.

You can use the cloth dog kennel sold in the world now, not recommended to use sheepskin or hairy nest. Because the puppy will tear off the top of the fur, as long as a handful of wool is enough to choke a puppy to death.

If you get up at night to see if they are okay, then please only look once. Otherwise, you'll find you've ruined their rest. And your puppy will want to see you more and more at night. He may be lonely and sad at first, but he will adjust himself. So don't worry.

A husky's bed is his property and shelter, so please don't disturb them or ask them to leave while they are in their den.

Puppies will sleep a lot when they are small. But their senses are all still working, so try not to disturb them while they are sleeping.

Dogs go to the bathroom indoors at regular intervals

Immediately after the dog wakes up from a nap, and after a meal, put them outside the door, or on the newspaper. When you see them squatting in the house ready to bb, don't indulge. Always pick them up immediately, put them outside the door or on the newspaper, and tell them: poo, hurry up. Or whatever you want to say, until the purpose is achieved. Afterward, reward them and let them go back inside.

If they don't get caught peeing anywhere, please don't scold them, it will only confuse them. And of course please don't expect your dog to be able to handle bb on their own at night, because they are not capable of that yet. Usually, after 4 months, huskies will no longer pee at night. So, while they are still young, keep more newspapers in the house, especially next to their litter.

Is your puppy safe?

1. Your home is not easy for huskies to get out from the door or balcony (in China, be aware that the balcony is closed, or at least semi-closed)

2. make sure the door is closed, and always remember to close it when you go out, including throwing garbage and other short time away.

3. Do not put pesticides, chemicals, etc. in places that are easily accessible to puppies. (Slugs, and antifreeze look delicious but they are no antidote - if eaten, you can only wait to die!)

Remember: If the puppy is poisoned, how you can kiss can not kiss back

4. Do not take them to the very tall grass, which is full of parasites and fleas.

5. Do not put sharp, sharp things around the dog, because your puppy has only two speeds: full-speed running and sleeping. (This is fun to say, but really)

6. Make sure the place where the puppy lives are warm, and dry if the puppy was born in winter. If the puppy was born in the summer, please do not let him play all the time, give him more rest time. Another thing to point out is that dogs love to chew things like shoes, chair rails, curtains, wallpaper, wires, and so on.

Please take special care not to let them bite the wire, puppies have very sharp teeth, like a vise. So, please check your home carefully to prevent electric shock.
