The Most Loving of Creatures

Cute Doggo

We are all obsessed with dogs. It’s a universal concept that dogs are awesome. They are the superior pet, and they love us, but I don’t think we quite understand how much they love us. If you think about it, dogs are kind of forced to like us because we are their source of everything. Domestic dogs, that is. We feed them. We give them water. We give them a home, but it goes much deeper than that. Our dogs are out number one fans. They constantly show us unconditional love. My dog is basically my shadow. Where I go, she goes. This makes the need for a leash obsolete since she is always a few steps behind me. When I sleep, she sleeps. Whether is be for 20 minutes or all day, she will not wake up until my feet hit the floor. When I eat, she eats. She will literally only eat when I am sitting at the table eating beside her. When she has to be boarded while I am away for an extended period of time, she does not eat at all.

When I pick her up, I always bring back an untouched bag of dog food. Some may say this is an unhealthy relationship, but I see it as an unbreakable bond. If I am sick, my dog will lay in bed with me without eating, drinking, or leaving to use the restroom until I go with her. My dog puts me above herself, and if that isn't love, I don't know what is. When I’m not at home to sleep with her, she sleeps in my bed alone because she can’t sleep anywhere else. Every time I walk through the door, my dog acts like it is the first time she has seen me in days. I got pet cameras to watch my dog while I am away, and she does not leave the door. She sits and patiently awaits my return every day. If you think about it, dogs are a lot like kids. When they do something wrong, they know they did, and they act guilty. Every time my dog does something wrong she gives you this look of sorrow. This look shows that the dog feels remorse, and it's the sweetest thing. I want to be mad at her, but when I see it, I can't do anything but forgive her and want to love her even more. When she isn't feeling well, the only thing she wants to do it sleep in my lap. It seems that sometimes the only thing that can make her feel better when she is sick is my affection. Dogs offer something that other people can not offer us, and that is undying loyalty. I truly believe my dog would choose my life over her own if it came down to it. I cannot even swim in my pool around my dog because she will jump in and try to drag me out of the pool because she is worried for my safety. When I shower, I ALWAYS have to let her be in the bathroom so she can stick her head in and check on me periodically or she will just will panic at the door and whine. Dogs are the most loyal thing on this planet. Change my mind.

In conclusion, dogs are so much better than any other animal, including people, and dogs are the superior pet. If you, for some ungodly reason, do not currently own a dog, go and buy one right now so that your life can finally be fulfilled.
