Cat trapped in the sewer

He survived for more than 70 days on the food of good people.

The little sister said that for two months she had been hearing kittens screaming from under the sewer and it sounded like they were about to die.

Through the narrow gap, we could see that it was very dirty and littered underneath, yet there was no cat in sight.

The little sister would put cat food in a plastic bag and put it down the drain every time, but she never saw the cat either. To check the situation, we put the camera into the sewer to explore, and the pile of plastic bags in front of us should be what the young lady used to throw down to feed the cats, yet we still didn't see the cats. If the cat has lied for two months, that can be considered a miracle. Although the cat was not seen, the cat's cry was heard, and the lady still insisted on coming here to feed it every day.

The next day, we came to check the food that Missy had fed, the bag was broken with the mouth and the food inside was empty. Now we could be sure that a cat was living in the sewer. However it had been two days since we had heard the cat's purring, how was it doing? We installed a camera at the sewer opening and a strange cat appeared near the sewer, meowing at the opening. It kept trying to get its paws in, however, the gap was so small that it was impossible. It looked a little anxious. Where did this cat come from? And what does it have to do with the cat down the well?

The black cat seemed to sense our presence and turned to run away. We carefully approached the place where the black cat had just been, but we heard the faint sound of a cat's cry.

However, there was nothing but water in the sewer. We hurriedly put the miniature camera in, and following the faint light, we saw a pipe deep in the sewer with a pair of large speckled eyes shining in it. Slowly a cat came out of the gloom.

The cat had been in this dark, damp sewer for the past 70 days, surviving on the food in the plastic bag. Suddenly the cat moved and slowly made its way deeper into the pipe.

At that moment, the sky poured with rain, which was very dangerous for the cat living deep in the sewer. The rainwater left from up the hill was rapidly flowing into the sewer, and the water in the sewer was already slowly rising, and once the water was full it was easy to drown or wash away the kitten in the sewer pipe. The rescue was not easy, and it was even more difficult at night with heavy rain. All we could do was pray that the cat would stay in a safe place.

The next morning, the rain finally stopped. The first thing we had to do was to determine the location of the cat.

However, the well was empty and the rain had washed away the plastic bags. We could only head to the next sewer entrance, which was heavily waterlogged and the pipes were still draining. Once again we put the miniature camera back inside the sewer and soon we saw the two glittering eyes. Along with the cat, we also heard it purring.

The sound was full of fear and unease. The poor cat must have been terrified. Finally, the kitten made its way to the sewer entrance and we could now see it.

The structure of the sewer was more complicated than we expected. The sewer installed near the mountain area had specific openings, and the cat had probably fallen onto the pipe in the opening. The pipe was in the middle of the opening, and the cat could not get a hold of it, so unless someone went in to save it, it would not have been able to get out by itself. The cat would not have survived for 70 days if the lady had not fed it food every day. If it had been left in the sewer, how long would it have survived?

We must rescue the cat as soon as possible. After moving the sewer cover, little brother found a huge space at the bottom of the sewer, which was stuffed with Missy's plastic bags of food and the cat's footprints. We searched the space and pipes underneath and still found no trace of the cat. Since cats can only come from the previous pipe to the next pipe, we continued our search along the next pipe, and still no sign of the cat. To keep the cat from moving around in the sewer, we blocked the sewer pipe. Because humans could not drill through the thin pipes, we had to use the machine. As the machine slowly moved, we also found the cat deep in the pipe, and it shrunk itself into a ball and stared at the machine in horror.

Suddenly it stood up and darted over the machine and ran out toward us. It tried to get back into the last pipe, but unfortunately, the pipe was already blocked.

It was so panicked that it kept banging and eventually knocked over the box and went back down the pipe to the last sewer opening.

But the upper part was full of water and the cat was trapped. It was lying at the mouth of the pipe, looking at us helplessly. It went into the water and tried to climb the wall to escape, but unfortunately, the wellhead was too high and it fell again.

Little brother brought a ladder, and he climbed down the ladder into the sewer, however, the cat was very panicked, fleeing around, little brother with a net to catch it, which knew that it was a jump out of the net into the pipe.

Luckily, it was caught by the little brother who was still at this end.

But it is still struggling, it is very strong, and soon slipped from the hands of the little brother. After some chasing, finally, the little brother used the net to hold it down tightly.

Then it was buried in the cage. The cat in the cage was still very cranky and flailed at the staff.

It was soon taken to the hospital for a detailed examination. The doctor said that because it had lived in a dark and humid environment for a long time, it might suffer from lung disease, but fortunately, its lungs and kidneys were of normal size, and it would be fine as long as it was supplemented with adequate nutrition.

But because it lives in a closed space for a long time, it takes a long time for it to open its heart to people. We need to provide more love and tolerance to this cat that is stepping into the human world for the first time and believes that there will be a good life waiting for it.
