Max the kitten. Tara.

A large-pawed kitten wanted to attach to the woman who adopted him and follows her other kitties all around the house.

Tara (@mickeythemanxkitty) was gathering up patio stones last month when a man informed her about his neighbor's kittens that needed to be adopted. "His neighbor had kittens that she was trying to get rid of, as they were moving and could only take one cat," Tara shared with Love Meow.

When Tara went to see the family, she saw one of the kittens was a polydactyl with curly ears, which she had rescued and adopted before. She returned home to drop off the stones, but she couldn't take her mind off them.

"I figured this was a meant-to-be situation. How else would this happen? So I went back."

She has extra toes and curly ears.

The kitten with numerous additional toes was the only one left looking for a home when she returned; the others had all been adopted. "The man I got the stones from, was afraid the neighbor might just let him go, so I told her I'd take the baby."

The kitten, named Max, was nine weeks old and eager to be loved. "When he came home he was an instant cuddle-bug, purring and very vocal."

Max would rush up to his companion for cuddles as soon as he had adjusted to his new surroundings. By crawling into Tara's lap, chest, or creeping up her thigh, he rapidly learned to command attention.

Surry the gentle rescue dog, Mira the charming wobbling tortie, and Mickey the brave scooter cat were all quickly intrigued by Max's meows and the ruckus from his zoomies.

"I introduced him to Mickey (who has Manx Syndrome) the following day, and they hit it off instantly. They are constantly playing and wrestling. Max never stops and I don't think Mickey can believe he was ever like that," Tara told Love Meow.

"When Max finally tires himself out, they end up becoming cuddle buddies."

Max was a little overwhelmed when he returned home after his first veterinarian appointment. Mickey moved over to give him some tender loving care as if he knew just what he needed.

"I found them curled up together with Mickey cleaning him all over, and Max just sleeping over him. It was the cutest sight."

Max was adamant about making friends with everyone in the home on his own time. He had climbed over the kitten playpen and was hanging out with Surry the dog before they even realized it. The loving canine put up with all of the feisty kitty's antics and only wanted to lick him.

"He is an absolute love-bug, and instantly fell in love with my special girl Mira (the sweet wobbly cat) as well, and she him."

Max adores Mira the sweet wobbly tortie

"Max has been slowly meeting everyone in the house, and much like Mickey was, he gets right in their faces with no fear. I think Mickey taught him that, and that he can do anything he puts his mind to."

Mickey has taken on the role of being a big brother. He shows Max the basics, shares his toys with him, and puts up with every one of his surprise assaults.

He looks up to Mickey and follows in his paw-steps

"It's been almost three weeks since I brought him home, and he is such a fantastic addition to the family. To think he could've been put out on the street. It scares me. But it can be prevented by spaying and neutering our pets."

At his forever home, the kitten with the huge mittens is living like a king. He receives human attention on demand and has a plethora of fuzzy siblings with whom he may play and snooze at all times.
