When an animal is brought into the home to be adopted or cared for, caring for it is not just a matter of eating and drinking;

Most of us have a fondness for a dog or a cat since childhood, but this is often fulfilled when our parents do not allow it. After last year's lockout, everyone decided to have at least one pet in the house to cope with loneliness, so many decided to keep a dog or a cat. Young people who enthusiastically adopt these animals, as well as the stray dogs and cats that often roam outside, should be aware of the responsibility that lies ahead. When an animal is brought into the home to be adopted or cared for, caring for it is not just a matter of eating and drinking;

When we keep an animal, we give it love and affection, just as there is love in the mind of that animal, so we should treat them the same way. Speaking about this, veterinarian Dr. Shailesh Ingole says, ‘When we take care of an animal, we should take care of it not as an animal, but as a member of our household.

Often dog or cat adopters tend to adopt a foreign breed of dog or cat. However, it should be noted that the anatomy of the animal depends on the region in which it originates. Even if we adopt them, we need to consider how well they will adapt to the environment in which we live. Since the animals are structured according to the temperature, climate, and environment of the outer region, they can suffer from various problems due to changes in temperature, humidity, and seasons. Therefore, it is important to know all these things before adoption and to take care of the animal accordingly.

Before adopting any animal and bringing any stray animal into the house, it should be examined by a veterinarian. The animal needs to know what disease it is, what its health status is. The animal can be thoroughly examined at the nearest veterinary clinic. As well as vaccinations that the animal needs, e.g. The rabies vaccine, or the cat's deworming, needs to be taken before a new animal is brought into the house.

Care should also be taken with the veterinarian to ensure that children, the elderly and pregnant women are not affected by these pets. Animals should not have puppies, if they do not want the responsibility to take care of them, they need to undergo neutering surgery. This will not harm the animals in the future.

Nowadays Google is used to find the answer to any question, even if a person has a simple headache, Google, which diagnoses up to cross cancer, has a lot of people who diagnose their animals if they get any disease. ‘That’s what happens to our dogs and cats, what do we do? The number of people asking such questions on Facebook is also increasing. With such answers, you may even endanger the life of your beloved mother-dog. It's much easier to find the number of the nearest veterinarian based on the same Google!

Many young animal lovers show sensitivity to the surrounding animals, treating animals found in a forest, in the bush, while trekking outside the city, sometimes even bringing them home. But in such a case, it is necessary to inform the concerned officer about the injured animal as soon as possible rather than treating it with insufficient information. Before bringing any outdoor animal into the home, the provisions and guidelines of the Rare Species Act, Wildlife Conservation Act should be considered. Feeling we have 'Run out of gas' emotionally? But when we are a new pet mom or pet dad, that animal cares as much as a baby. We must also learn to take action. Only then will the health and longevity of your beloved animal increase!
